Until you get a bare 11 and have no choice. It'Very difficult to keep on top of it. It all depends on the make-up of your squad though.

we have found the best way to deal with players falling behind on payments is to give them the kit to wash instead of paying subs, seems to work pretty well.

I like that idea a lot....very interesting....

After losing our sponsorship we are going to have to tighten our belts...and i reckon this is a good way of making sure people pay up....may throw a few of my skiddies in there as well to really focus them!!

As its public forum, gonna add my two penneth....

I think the club is well within their rights to ban any player who owes money...if all your mates asked you (generic you) to go to a pub and you had no money, would you go, but expect the pub to buy your drinks? Unless a player agrees with a manager to play and not pay subs, then you should be expected to pay.

Too many players think 'oh the club can play'...sadly though, Sunday league clubs have no shareholders, and rarely have a big backer...so 'the club' is 'the team mates'...

If you cant pay to play, i personally think the rest of the team shoud cough up 40p each to cover subs, and that the player who doesnt pay should go and collect it off each of them...

Subs (money) are the biggest ballache and the worst thing about running a club, and there are not many players good enough to deserve money to play on a Sunday.

I'm not saying I'm messi and I'm not sayin I shouldn't pay subs but if I stayed at st marks Ino 100% they wouldn't of banned me and let me carry on playing until I have sorted out money, I lost my job and owe out over 600 quid so tbh paying 46 quid is last thing on my mind I just wanna play football, when I got so much in debt with the club they could of stopped me playing but they didn't? Just cus I've left there trying to spite me and soon as I have the money they will receive it!

yeah he did widds , and if we could afford to let him pay when he wanted to we just coundnt , its nothing personal love the kid to bits and was a nice lad so its nothing personal , and wish him all the best at his new club . but we only a new club ourselves trying to find our feet and cannot afford to be owed subs of that amount its tough enough as it is

i think its a farce to be honest lol, if a player leaves a club owing money however much it be and go and play for another club still owing money they will be banned, it shouldnt be a discussion/debate fact is money is owed, he said hell pay it when he can so leave it there!

Makes me pissed off that i pay my subs everyweek where as tom dick and harry have left their cash at home
