| Wigston Fields 1 - 6 Star and Garter
Danny Lawlor
Proud of the lads today, made to work and put in a massive shift. Can clearly see the gulf in class and style of football played higher up in the divisions. Chasing the ball for a vast amount of the game star kept the ball well, pass and move and were one step ahead of us. Found ourselves 4-0 down at half time, our keeper making some great saves and star just hitting shots wide or striking the woodwork. We could have made it 1-1 early in the half but the ball was cleared off near the line before it crossed. Second half we had a change of shape and were much more in the game, closing down quicker and making star play a bit more and work a bit harder. Again our keeper made some cracking saves and star hit the woodwork but we kept the ball better and were playing some better stuff. We got our reward in a goal after James field fed Danny lawlor to cut inside on his weaker right foot hit the ball into the bottom corner spinning off the post into the back of the net. We kept it below double figures and had a good work out so happy with the performance.

| Enness United 3 - 0 CSKA Carnabys
Well I don't know if ya would call it a giant killing but our football was exceptional today, and we played the first half with 10 men!!
Due to sickness, injuries etc we had players missing and started the game with 10 men. This seemed to bring our players together and play the best football we have played in weeks!
You couldn't tell that CSKA had the extra man, although on the attack, they came through the middle well. Our defence stayed solid and from our striker winning a free kick 25yards out, a low deflected shot from Andy Morris beat their keeper. As we were piling on the pressure left right and center, out striker (Liam Davies) yet again involved, played Kyle Hanson through and after a few dropped shoulders, placed the ball home.
Half time came and we gained an extra player who played through his injury. You couldn't tell and he was a pure asset to our tiring legs. The game dipped down a tad but as Andy Morris played the ball over the top, the backspin fooled their keeper and Liam Davies nodded home, well deserved of his goal too.
A great achievement for our lads who had been written off before the game.
MoM - Liam Davies AND Mickey Cornish. Both the striker and CB were the difference today!!

| Missing loads but no excuse Moshdock we at another level today. Unplayable at times. Every time they shot they scored. We didn't do to much wrong which sounds silly with scoreline
Good luck to Sparta some good banter and I actually enjoyed playing in the game
Also special mention to Martin Dexter who was first class- definitely best ref in league. He even locked the Sparta lads in the changing room and ran off. We definitely wish he had done it before the first whistle

Cheers for the words above Paulo. You just seemed to catch us on a good day. We knocked it around nicely and were absolutely clinical in front of goal.
Fair play to your boys though, never really gave up and tried to play in the right way. Some good banter and the whole game played in the right way. Also agree with what you said about Martin Dexter. Quality ref and reffed it in the right way today. Not so happy about him locking us in at the end.
Good debuts for Keaton Towers and Callum Earls today. Callum looked quality and topped it off with a debut goal. Back to the league for us next week.
Cheers to Paulo and Katie and the rest of the URFC team and good luck with the rest of your season.

bare 11 today then 10 men in the 2nd half due to TC getting injured. Was a proper gutsy performance against a div 1 big hitter. Luke Nangreave getting a fine goal in the opening minutes for our victory.

| Lutterworth Sunday 4 -1 Pukka pies
Score line does not reflect the game at all,We took the lead after 5 minutes with Corey Lovell, then the game drastically changed though a bad penalty decision against our team, We should of had the game dead and buried by half time but just couldn't seem to pull off any of our chances . Not taking anything away from Lutterworth town they did have the better of us in the second half.roll on next week back to league action and we will have a few players back and we will go again

| Fc azzurri 2 v 1 east goscote athletic
We had to work really hard for the win today, east goscote really impressed me they were very hardworking and to be honest deserved more out of the game!! They played some very good football and if they had better finishing would of won the game!! We were quite poor today and some didn't seem to want to match goscotes work rate. Having said that though we battled through with numerous players playing out of position, you know its bad when we've got our top scorer having to play centre mid and 2nd top scorer filling in at left back! Oh well into the next round.
Good luck to goscote for the rest of the season

MoM - Liam Davies AND Mickey Cornish. Both the striker and CB were the difference today!! Wouldn't disagree with much of the above. Despite having ten in the first half, Emnes were the better side today and fully deserved it. First goal took a horrific deflection from a free kick and after that they controlled the game and played the better stuff. I'd have happily made right changes if I could at the break. A triple substitution was the best statement I could make. We weren't at the races and deserved nothing from the day. Hugely disappointing but well done to Emnes as it was as much thorough their good play as it was our poor display. Bob Ogle reffed the game well although both sides made it easy for him for the majority.

| FC Pochin 3 v 2 Huncote Sunday (Billy Walton)
Chris Durrance Joey Tailby Jordan Cunningham
An injury in the warm up in addition to the enforced absence of their charismatic captain contributed towards a much changed Pochin team from last week. But all the lads did as the manager asked including the introduction of Denty and Kieron both with solid contributions on debut.
5 really good goals all taken well. After finding themselves 2-0 down early on Huncote got better as the game went on but overall I thought it was a fair result.
Fair play to the Huncote lads too, played some nice football at times and the 1st team this season to join us down the pub after the game.
Looking forward to see who we get in the next round - got a feeling it's going to be St. Marks...

| Cheers Malc, although not as good as a result as yours - beating a team as good as LDA 1-5 is a hell of a result.
Denty played centre mid mate

Denty played centre mid mate Did he get booked lol ? Yeah considering we were missing Michael Peck, James Firth, David Coleman and Sam Whatsize who normally start was a decent result to be fair, I'm guessing though that LDA were missing a fair few.

As I said it was a brilliant game to watch thanks That pretty much sums the game up Jack, although I think you need to be a bit fairer to Monsell WMC as they forced our goalie to make a fair few saves during the normal 90 minutes! For the neutral, would have been a great game to watch.
