| MDH Knights 7 : 2 Saffron Lounge Lee Stevens 3 John Dunne 2 Graeme Graeves Tom Dunne
A real good contest today. The Knights started much sharper and took the lead before Saffron equalised against the run of play. Saffron upped the pressure and deservedly took the lead before a bullet header equalised leaving it 2 a piece at half time. A competitive start to the second half but as the Knights began to find the gaps in the backline the goals began to flow as the Saffron heads dropped. Fair play to the Saffron lads who were a good bunch of lads. The modric look alike up front looks a real talent! Best of luck to Saffron and hopefully we'll be there abouts with them at the end of the season

Not sure why Komrska are bottom of the table. Physically strong, good footballing team with a class goal keeper. They deserved at least a point today (and last week to be fair when we beat them 2-1).
Good luck for the rest of the season, you will not finish bottom of this division.
Top drawer ref today too, cheers Clive.

| Little Bowden 3 - 2 West End United Reserves
Bowden ran out winners in this top of the table clash. Things didn't start off too brightly though when re-installed Bowden No.1 keeper Hubbard (returning from injury) was beaten by a very big bounce on a hopeful effort on goal from the visitors. Bowden picked up the pace after that and within minutes they were level when Matt Thompson pounced to make it 1-1, His second of the season for Bowden (the first coming in the reverse fixture of this match!), Bowden then showed why they are top of the league and were soon 3-1 up and cruising shortly after when a quickfire Simon Barby double looked to have secured the points before half time (the second a delightful turn and finish under pressure). Bowden were slow out of the traps again after kick off in the second half and the visitors gained in confidence and were rewarded when, following an amazing save onto the bar by Hubbard, the ball landed kindly for West End and they pulled a goal back to set up a nervy last 25 minutes. The team held firm though and man of the match Farid made some excellent last ditch blocks to keep the visitors at bay. In the dying minutes Matt Thompson could have put the game to bed though but shot massively wide when clean through on goal. Bowden were not to be denied though and secure top spot for another week.

After last weeks poor turnout good second half performance against a good western side hopefully we can get a run together after a nightmare of injuries. Wouldn't say you faced a good western today as we were scratching around for a team up to kick off and ended up with me in goal! Thought we did well for 60 minutes but then you got a few quick goals and killed us off. Fair play to you though as you deserved the win. Just hope we can get a team together for next week and put things right. |

| Harrow 1 LB Talbot 1
we said b4 the game play like last week and we should take the 3pts we started slow AGAIN but it seem both team was not up for the game we had a couple of half chance as did harrow then we play football 4 the only team in the first half and harrow keeper made a decent and we scored from the corner good finish then harrow put more pressure on us forcing a good save from me and then it was a bit scrappy till half time . second half 4 us was about keeping our shape and hitting harrow on the break al the play was in our half harrow had 3 chance which i pull decent saves from we had a clear chance but we put it wide harrow then leveled it with 5 mins to go it was all harrow from then talbot are very happy with the point harrow deserve more but that football best of luck to harrow

Although if you figured out early in the game that I have never played in goal for 90 before and let a few more shots go you could have had a hatfull!! |
