| We leicester bharat talbot played fc tumar today (normally our bogey side) we got the first goal from some good play from our front 3 and never really looked back after that. We went in at half time 3-1 up got a fourth eventually after hitting the bar twice and the post and they're keeper pulling of some good saves. Fair play tumar u are a good bunch of lads and will c u guys at our place | |

Ive got to say apart from a crazy 5 mins in the 2nd half wen they made it 2-2 we were quality today, some great football played and really controlled the game, the only negative was it should have been 10-12...every team we have played this season we have dominated amd created so many chance but failed to take them.

| We (global) somehow went 2 nil behind against Buddha but after that were by far the better team.
As soon as we got one back their defence fell to pieces. Went in 2-2 at half time and went in front not long after the restart. A nasty tackle has put our captain on crutches. It wasn't the only one that they made as they got more frustrated. In the end it could have been a lot more with their keeper making some very last second blocks and us having 3 disallowed.

| Desford Rangers 1-3 United Revolution A much changed line up for us after last weeks poor showing and a completely different performance. Took 10 minutes or so to settle but was we did we knocked the ball around well and created lots of chances, 1 nil up at half time after completely dominating, should and could have been more if our decision making was better. Desford came out of the blocks really well at the start of the second half and pressed us giving us no time on the ball at all. We weathered the storm pretty well but allowed them to get back into the game to make it 1-1. Some good play allowed us to grab a second and go back in front before adding a third from the spot late on. 3 good points, on to the billy walton and our first home game in 8 weeks Goals from Jim Markley (2) - including pen Ryan Broderick | |

| Caterpillar 3-1 Oak
Scorer Tom Scott
Well what a morning trying to find the actual ground with Caterpillars secretary not answering his phone. We turned up at 10.15 to find a few Caterpillar players waiting outside a locked changing room. We did not kick off till 10.45 and I think that half affected our players who were slow out the blocks and were 1 nill down within 5 mins.
Believe it or not but the scoreline does not reflect the game. for the next hour we played the best football I have seen us play in a long time and were causing Caterpillar all sorts of problems. Playing a new formation seemed to be doing the trick going forward but we lacked that killer punch in the box with a new inexperienced lad making his debut. Caterpillar hit us twice on the counter and before we knew it were 3-0 down having outplayed them.
The second half we changed formation pushing another player up top but seemed to lose possession this way and didn't look quite so threatening. A couple of injuries to our centre backs also disjointed us but we managed to get into the game with a Fantastic looping volley from Tom Scott 25 yards out.
The rest of the game was played like a basketball match as we pushed to try to force extra time with Caterpillar streaming forward at every opportunity. Our defence stood firm though but we couldn't bridge the gap.
I think both teams were disappointed in the performance from the man in the middle and it was a shame he wasn't up to Alliance League officials standards.
Still looking for our first win of the season! Aberdale next week who I know nothing about!

| The Plough Bruntingthorpe 4 - WPR - 2 AET.
Firstly I don't know how their pitch is classed as a pitch, cow pat on the playing surface and a truly shocking surface. WPR took the lead in the first 10 minutes and then should have followed the early goal with a cast iron peno, wasn't given. Bruntingthorpe then pegged us back with a 25 yarder and then took the lead 5 minutes in to the second half. We threw the kitchen sink at Bruntingthorpe and got our rewards= with a 93 min equaliser with a fine volley. AET - again conceded a quick goal to put us 3-2 down and whilst trying to get us back level Bruntingthorpe caught us on a counter and scored a lucky goal to take it 4-2. Over all I thought we were the better team but some inspired keeping kept us out. They have a top goal keeper. some very poor refereeing decisions especially in AET after the ref kept telling everyone he had a two o'clock game to ref.

Really poor day for us. Despite having a number of players out we should have had more than enough to ensure our name was in the hat for round 3. We missed a number of really good chances and had a certain penalty waved away in the second half.
All credit to our opposition though, they all worked hard for the entire game, got the only goal of a poor contest and we wish them good luck in the next round.

I must say this is the first time this season I have wanted to post something on. 3 wins in a row for us now and something has finally clicked. Good game all around except when their captain hand balled on the line and went down holding his head only for an experience referee to flap the decision. I give their captain an Oscar for his play acting. On the whole good ref even if he was late.

Kamikaze game with little quality, stereotypical Sunday morning stuff. 3 penalties, 6 bookings and 1 red card all for 'dissent' I think, it wasn't a particularly nasty game either. Not a pleasing performance, but being 5-4 down with 4 minutes to go, pleased with the spirit shown to turn it around.

| Aths 6 - CFA 4.
Great result for us, hardest opposition so far this season. Literally there team did not stop running and they've got attacking players that caused us a lot of trouble. Whenever we took the lead they pulled it back. Could be a bit stronger at the back but they never gave up. Honestly think we knocked out someone who should of been in the latter stages so a big result for us!

Also a dozen or so League games to discuss When's the next round drawn Gordon? Next round will be played on 7th Dec, I would expect the draw will be made and released by County FA by 21st Nov at the latest (but that's a little bit of a guess based on past experience, it might be earlier)

After the first five minutes when you shook off the ring-rust you were the better side by a country mile. I was speaking to their gaffer and apparently they had players out, but even so. It was a surprise it took around the half hour mark to open the scoring, and that was after both sides were reduced to ten men. I believe Duke's was for the foul and your players for the reaction afterwards. God help any side if you get a striker that can put the ball away. Going to have a look at Appleby Magna this weekend - will be interesting to see how they compare to the likes of your lot.
