This year we add quality and hav done well so far. Don't think that means the division is weak or u could say the same for your division as u are romping it

| Wigston 3 - 4 CPR CPR Goals: Spavins 2 Cooke Burton
Terrible game really, pitch was poor and the wind affected the game. Really important win for us in the end, only had 11 men missing at 5 regulars, the lads who step in did well though. Wigston decent bunch of lads, look forward to playing them again
Only downside was no changing rooms! Thought it was a league requirement to have them, bit of a shambles when you cant have a shower after the game

| Niffy Reserves 5 - 1 Talbot
Cracking first half by what has been a struggling Niffy Reserves this season. Tho Talbot didn't come out til 2nd half, when they were 2-0 down. After Niffy weathered the storm in the 2nd half (Talbot pulled 1 back early in 2nd hald to make it 2-1), they went on to win the game well.
How did 1st team get on? | |

Class today from our lad's today barebones big time I had to play 90 love games like this 3-1 down and come back to 3all, makes it all worthwhile being secreatary, hope we can kick on from this! GT definitely deserved the draw for sticking at it. I think at 3-1 we were so in control that we became complacent and we couldn't snap out of it when you made it 3-2. The league is still in our hands, we are 3pts behind but have 2 games in hand so all is not lost and we are still unbeaten but the disapointment in the changing rooms was obvious, it was most definitely 2pts dropped Onto the next one

Turned up today missing four big players for us! For various reasons we turned up without Doyle, Dexter, Oliver and Mcfadyen! The players that stepped in did an amazing job against a 3rd division team! Couple of these players were lacking match sharpness but did not let anyone down and put themselves in the frame for some big games coming up!
First half seemed to be backs against the wall but we looked dangerous on the break especially Lovey causing havoc and running St Marks backline ragged! We managed to go ahead Via. A Penalty and seemed to stun St Marks! We then hit them quickly with a second and Loveys first! Hoping to hold out at 2-0 up going into half time but it wasn't to be as Mr Byrne managed to divert an excellent header past our flailing keeper!
Second half was very tight and at 2-1 the next goal could decide the game! We seemed comfortable and Lovey managed to bag 2 more to get his trick and send us into the last 16! An excellent 2nd half save from our keeper was a big moment!
Some cracking tackles in the middle of the pitch made it a real battle between the two teams and some good banter between players and referee!
Unlucky to St Marks and good luck with the rest of the season!
In all honesty, although I am ecstatic for us, a 6th division side to reach the last 16 with fixture back log we currently have could be an extra fixture that could come back to bite us in the ass! On the other hand winning games defo helps and we shall try to take this into our next game, yet another cup game next week!
In division 6 today I was somewhat surprised Royalist seem to be Imploding and are losing their title push! Dukla are definitely the Inform team! Expected Mivans win and thought LKS-Eagles could cancel each other out! At present we have 6 games in hand over Mivan! Nice! Hoping for a league game soon! Fair play to your lads, definately deserved the win. Shame some of our lads arent up to the physical challenge which is why i personally think we were on the losing end! all the best in all competitions though having a great season like ourselves last year, we have been far too inconsistent this year but can still grab 2nd which we all feel would be a massive accomplishment considering we went up 2 divisions last season and have only added 2/3 players.

- Leicester Foxes Oldies 3 - 2 Royale Barcabullona
This is surely shock of the day and I can't believe more hasn't been made out of it. Leicester Foxes, massive underdogs in this one against a Royale Barca side of far superior quality. However, thats football, at times the best don't always come on top.
Foxes went 2 up from 2 long ball counter attacks and a heavy amount of luck involved for their goals it has to be said. Royale had dominated the game up to this point, and continued to do so, but had it not been for the woodwork and a few dissallowed goals we'd of been well out of sight in this one before half time.
Second half was constant pressure but to be fair, Foxes defended well, with their keeper pulling off save after save. A goalkeeping howler allowed their striker to finish first time from 30 yards to make it 3-1. We came back as you'd expect from a quality, well organised, and outstanding football team and made it 3-2 with goal of the season from P.Farmer. A missed pen, a shot off the line, and the woodwork again denied us in the last 15 mins.
This has to of gone down in history as one of the most 1 sided games...and for the better team to come away with nothing.
P.S. 2 footed tackles are definately considered a legitimate and fair attempt to play the ball these days. You've gifted us 2nd place. We don't want it. Hopefully NRI will take it off our hands.

| Mivan 4 - 0 Dukla
Comfatable win with no major incidences to talk about apart from the pitch. Dukla were not up for it in my opinion apart from their centre midfielder (bold lad - Deano i think - quality player in an average side).
Should of bagged afew more if it was not for their keeper,. Fingers crossed the division does not come down to goal diff.
Pitch was really bad... especially through middle, this may be a leveller for teams coming to play us at home, and with all the games oaks have to play, it will only get worse ... !! .. Though it is the same for both sides, footballing sides will find it very difficult.
Good luck to Dukla for rest of season, top bunch of lads and play with the right attitude !!
