Some County games held over from last week and Star & Garter in catch up mode, together with many league games and a couple in the EW Foster Cup

You seem reluctant to share your news?

the bad weather procedure of course means that technically a pitch cannot be declared unfit until 11am unless it's covered in 6 feet of snow or resembles a river...

Great comeback today for us(athletic Blaby) 3-0 down with 20 to go. Everyone dug in and produced the grit n determination to get us back in the game. Thought at 3-3 it was going to extra time but with seconds to go we got a break and their Lino blatantly cheated by flagging even though he ran from behind the defender. Their team just stopped n the ref waved play on! Cracking effort today. Looking forward to the semi now. Good look to constab for the rest of the season

Huncote Sunday 6-4 Aylestone Lounge. AET.

Slow start from us seen us go two goals behind. Started playing and got one back, five minutes later we found ourselves 3-2 up only to be pegged back pretty much straight away. As quick as the lounge had equalised they were then in front.

With just under ten minutes to go we managed to grab an equaliser with a fine individual effort.

So into extra time and with the pitch getting boggier with every minute being played along with tiring legs the first goal was always going to be crucial. Luckily for us we managed to get two and we are now in the Sunday shield county cup final! Delighted for our lads who have turned up with a great attitude every week.

Commiserations to the lounge, they wanted it a lot more than us in the first half and the game could've gone either way.

Absolutely buzzing.

Swinford Chequers have provided the League with proof that they made an effort to telephone the Leicester Bharat Talbot Club Secretary at 9.02am, leaving a voice message and followed that up with a text message at 9.05pm

Whether the pitch looked playable or not, the pitch owners had used their authority to decide the fitness of the ground, in accordance with League Rule !3

(D) The appointed Referee shall have power to decide as to the fitness of the ground in all matches and the decision shall be final subject to either in the case of a ground of a Local Authority or the owners of a ground, the Representative of that body is the sole arbiter and whose decision must be accepted unless the ground is declared fit for play.

The match referee was notified at or about the same time that the fixture was postponed, and therefore did not travel

Gutted we lost yesterday to Wigston.

were 1-0 with 10mins to go and just threw it away. Ref wasn't the best for both teams with wigstons centre back getting away with 4 yellow card challenges. But he was bad for both sides which was strange as when we have had him in the past he's been decent and consistent.
I don't think it helped with a wigston supporter constantly hurling abuse at him and hope she is dealt with in future.

Was finally nice to come up against a team a bit more on our level. This season has been awful and we will of done well just to get through it when others would have just folded. Please take note league officers, 3 division jumps kills long standing clubs like our own. Only 9 more games of this bloody season!

Aths 3 FC Tumar 2

Pitch looked in really good nick but in reality it was hard so couldn't play football on it. Took the lead and Tumar went 2-1 up until we equalized then nicked a winner late on. No disrespect to Tumar but the amount of long balls we recieved from the goalkeeper and defence actually gave me a sore neck. So i'm happy for our defence were able to soak it up. Think the best part of the game was a WAG / Tumar supporter on the sidelines bringing the ball down with one touch. Amazing.

We go on to Mountsorrel Imps in the semi finals next Sunday. Massive for us. Already found out they have a County Cup team which is miles better than the League team that play.

Watched most of the last few minutes of the 90 and most of extra time with a beer after our game finished. Great entertainment, both teams looked like they would score and neither gave up.

Good to catch up with some of the boys that used to play for me and brilliant to see Huncote reach the final will be there to support you boys at Holmes Park.

United Revolution 3-3 Sporting Birstall

WOW extremes to say the least.  Poor start from us, were third to everything (not even second) and put ourselves under unnecessary pressure.

Credit to Birstall they had a game plan, press us and rush us into mistakes, playing the long ball as much as possible and take advantage at set pieces.  It worked!!

Their Skipper's distribution from set pieces was outstanding.  All 3 first half goals came from his ball into the box (the 3rd being a cross/shot that went straight in)

Took us to go 3 behind to wake up and start getting to the ball first and not giving away silly free kicks

Second half was much better but took us a long time to break them down, got one back with about 25 mins to go.  Made a couple of changes started to create more chances if we could have stayed onside a bit more we would have got more joy.  We then added a second with 10/15 mins remaining and a third came in the final couple of minutes.

Felt like a victory after a very poor first 40 minutes, gave ourselves too much too do.

Good luck to Birstall for the rest of the season, we will need to improve if we still want to have a say in the title

Well reffed by the true gent that is Steve Hill.

Suecastle 1-3 Global Athletic

Really poor from us this weekend. A pair of 3-1 defeats in the last two matches leaves us crossing our fingers and desperately hoping results elsewhere go our way now (which we already needed anyway!).

The pitch was poor and didn't help either side but our bad defending as a team and failure to really work the Global keeper left us in a really bad position. Jack Tranter bagged our only goal.

Cheers and well played to the Global lads and we'll no doubt see you in a few weeks for the return fixture.

Cheers lads, I only watched the second half but was really pleased how we pushed forward in that time. Lots of missed chances for both teams. You probably should have had a penalty which took your minds off the game and we scored quickly after, which meant the game became pretty open and we grabbed one at the end.

Looking forward to the game at our place.
