Wet and miserable weather forecast - did your game brighten the outlook?

Global 5-4 Mivan
Rorie Harkins
Harry Henery
Sean Cooke 3

Not great from us for the first 70 minutes as we found ourselves 4-1 down but a storming last 20 saw us turn it round. The wind played a big part and to be fair Mivan could have been out of sight first half.

Horse 2-2 Oak

Oak scorers
Matt Copson
Ryan Lovett

Big squad to choose from leaving two to unfortunately miss out but its a lot better than a few weeks ago when we were struggling to get 11.
Wind played its part today and was possibly man of the match as no one on the field covered themselves in much glory. Id say we edged the first hour of play but only through chances created and trying to get.the ball down on the floor.
We scored a quick fire.double after half time to go 2-0 up with Matt Copson finally ending his scoring drough with a close range tap in. Jason Oliver then played a fortunate ball across field wind assisted, and found its way to substitute Ryan Lovett who hit a cracking 20yard drive in to the top corner.

Thats when we got complacent and Horse bossed the last half hour as we took our foot off the gas. The equaliser was a cross come shot which just seemed to sail in the net with 5 mins remaining. Gutted to of lost the 3points but fair play to Horse for sticking at it and are a good bunch of lads.

we have the difficult task of Countesthorpe Athletic next week who we hope to raise our game against.

fc pochin 2 utd revolution 1
utd rev are our bogey side who we have never beaten
and when we went 1 down after 10 minutes i thought here we go again
they are a very commited side who get a foot in all over the park and are difficult to break down
which is why they haven't conceded many in the league
they were also missing their best player
we had lots of chances but just couldn't find the back of the net
at half time the manager made a couple of changes moving the left winger up front who then scored the 2
to secure the win so thats the hoodoo gone at last(not voodoo pete thats where you stick needles in someone or perhaps
you did mean that) Very Happy
all the best to the revolution lads
and ross that's a lovely baby you've got

Thanks Chris

This season has been a massive struggle for us, signing new players on every week - this week was no exception with 2 more brand new faces -hats off to Pete who does a lot of work during the week. Thought the boys did a very good job - we werent pretty but they defended very well. No doubt you boys deserved to win the game but I was expecting the worst before hand. You have a very good side, plus the players to come back, just getting them there every week i guess! I look forward to playing in the return leg

She comes to every game with us, the lads love her and she loves being round them. Not bought us a great deal of luck on the pitch but she still enjoys herself!

Yes, his name is Mr Mike Hunt and he is travelling from Norway for a lowly Division 6 Sunday League game as all major scouts do...

... lol!
