| The Alliance season starts here with 6 League games scheduled Hopefully the usual Sunday results service will resume. Fot the small number of games, I have combined banter into a single thread. Please keep this thread for Alliance Matches only - friendlies can br posted elsewhere So, early indications of form, what the new teams bring to the Alliance family, and whether the Constitution is a reasonable decision will soon be apparent. As always, be careful in what you post, derogatory comments and accusations about named or identifiable individuals will be moderated. However should a complaint be made to County FA or it is seen by County FA before we can moderate - you may be liable to an FA Charge. The same applies to postings to social media - Facebook, Twitter etc Enough of this..........let the football kick off I hope you all have an enjoyable and competitive season - you cannot all win, all the time, but good luck to everybody.

| very good game at platts lane today to start season off Cossington Royal Oak two nil down at halftime to Medz, made a change and sub scored within minutes and two mins later were level,,both teams playing a fast game trying to get the winner..which came with 12 mins to go when Medz captain leapt like a salmon (his description) and headed home the winner,,, good game played in right spirit,,,,, | |

| Cheers Gordon for reffing today. Top job. Possibly should've gave us a pen though but I suppose the fella could hardly move out the way.
We were on fire today. An all round good performance. Let Newdawn get back into it very cheaply on two occasions. They fought til the end though and it was a cracking game to watch

| Good game for Medz. Both teams liked to play football, Cossington using their wingers very well. They attacked and pressured us for the first 30 minutes and then we scored two goals before half time. They made 3 subs, and drastically improved their side and scored two goals in the first ten minutes. We ground out a result though, through a looping header. Cossington very good side. Not sure why they've gone in Div 6! | |

| Great to get off to a winning start for us after last season's struggles. Plenty of new faces in addittion to last year's small squad, when we struggled to score goals. 5 out of the 6 scored by new signings, so hopefully a much better season for us. Not getting carried away, we'll see how we are doing mid Oct to see if we've progressed. | |

From what i watched first half and i missed the second half you served the win any way, one slip up from Pez which is pretty normal for him cost you a goal. Good win top of the league and scoring goals as well.

| We were gutted with the result on Sunday. We felt that we bossed the game for 70 mins with the game played mainly with us camped in their half of the pitch.
We started brightly and played the game at a fast pace which resulted in us hitting the post in the first 10 mins and missing a hat full of chances that on another day would have gone in.
Fair play to Medz they kept plugging away and capitalised on some poor defending to go 2-0 at the break.
We made a change at half time to bring our veteran striker on which paid dividents immediatly with a great first time strike followed up immediatly with a worldy from Chris Pope on his left.
We honestly thought we would go on to the win the game at this point. We kept plugging away and the game become a little more stretched. We had our opportunities to get a goal but we just couldnt take them. It was clear who ever scored the next goal would go on to win it.
The goal didnt look like it was coming for either team and with 2 mins to go and thinking we would have to settle for the draw Medz delivered a sucker punch and got the winner.
Have to say we really enjoyed our first game in the Alliance league. The game was really competitive and played in the right spirirt. The Medz lads are a great bunch of guys and we look forward to trying to get our revenge in the away game!
The only way to ger over dissapointment like this is to move onto next game which will be, im sure, another challenging game against MJR - I just hope we are a little more clynical in the final third!
Onwards and upwards!
