favourites? ? Meh!! Looking forward to it though. Hoping we can give u a good game. Feel for niffy as I reckon a double relegation would of suited them better to regroup and get some confidence.  My first game back on pitch for 18 months. Good to get on the score sheet but I was woeful!

Wigston Plough Rovers 2 - Balby United 3

Good game, lots of strong tackles from both teams. Considering it was wet Blaby showing a lot of improvement from last season.

Wigston Plough Rovers didn't play as well has we have been, fielding an under strength team, with 4 key players out two at the heart of our defence, took the lead and dominated the first 30 mins but dropped off after that. would have to echo Blaby's comments they look a lot stronger than last year. good luck for the season.

trinity foxes were a no show on sunday! we still had to pay pitch fees if you arrange a friendly show up for it!!

Turns out they actually played Monsell WMC

I think it was a miss understanding between birstall and trinity. Both teams set up their home pitches thinking they were both at home. We arrived to play Desford on the next pitch but Desford failed to get enough players so instead of ourselves and trinity going home with no opposition we decided to play each other.
Sorry if this has upset anybody but i'm sure we would all do the same.

That's fair enough but we were informed by someone at Trinity that they were on the way and would be around 20mins, the Referee said he didn't mind waiting so we hung around for half hour, would have been nice to receive a call saying they couldn't actually make it, the ref and pitch were still paid for so as a club, out of pocket.

To be honest, it's not your fault mate, according to our manager he spoke to someone representing trinity on the thursday before to confirm.

Fccol 3 - 3/2 mjr

Overall gd game and think drew was properly fair too but there was one major decision that cause a bit of a craze. We turned up and had to ref ourselves which is fair enough and we reffed first half with no problems. Ht score was 2-0. We then scored a strange soft goal to make it 3-0. They pulled one back from a peno which was a peno and then cut us open to make it 3-2. Then the craze, they played a thru ball and our lino put the flag up. There ref then blew his whistle n everyone stopped bar this one lad who was still running. Mjr players was moaning at the decision and the ref then shouted play on to which cause confusion and the lad that was still running squared it to another lad for a tap in. We then said to the ref u cant do that to which we was met with by someone saying its his first game lol. Dont know what that had to do with it but there ref then turned to me and said he dont need the agro cuz hes just had a splif lol. I would like to apologies for one of our lads going a bit ott but he was just fumming at the situation and as it was a friendly in the end we just shock hands and left. Good luck in the season mjr and hopefully we will see you in a cup game.

Tbh fcol beat mjr great result for them but monsell wmc res beat red admiral n everyone screams pot hunters slight reality check guys mjr r better than red admiral cheers

we had a shocking game today not played like tht since Christmas last season. didn't help I was in the sticks and im shite in goal a traffic cone would do a better job lol , plough rovers played some decent stuff and have a few tidy players they are a decent bunch of lads so fair play to them and I hope they have a good season.
