Rough justice on a good performance from humbo. Decisions never went there way and two free kicks cost them in the end. Goals from shingler, Hurst and Geary for humbo

Poor poor result for hotshots today, couldn't finish our chances and wheel finished their only one then dug in hard an defend the lead. well done wheel all the best!

with the goals for CPR. we made it difficult for Niffy, CPR went ahead twice but couldn't keep the lead. Mistakes from us gave them the win. Good game all in all.

We played well today after our shite performance last week bit of an upse to beat north Kilworth

As Widds has put very proud of my boys effort we competed very very well. Good look to Glenfield for the rest of the cup great set of lads...very enjoyable game against a good prem side.

Mo scored a cracking first 2 goals, but then had to come off injured which weakened us. then we inexplicably gifted them 2 goals in a minute from some misplaced passes in defence under no pressure at all, and we never really recovered from it, going in 3-3 half time. terrible defending for their 4th in the second half, but our belief and confidence was shot to pieces by half time and we never got over it. All the best Kirby, they didn't half slag each other off!

Great effort from everyone today after the poor league start we've had, did it the hard way as well coming from behind twice but fully deserved victory.

Hopefully this will now kick start our season after beating a team 2 divisions above us, well done boys.

Absolutely ecstatic with our win today. 2-1 up after half hour then we had a player sent off. Perhaps harsh. But it was a bad challenge. We then got a penalty to make it 3-1 blaby struck back instantly, then so did we. At 4-2 we switched off and blaby scored 3 within 15 minutes. With 5 minutes to go i scored one and with effectively the last touch of the game I scored the winner. Cole brookfield grabbed his first for the club too. Great win. Was a great game. All the best to blaby for the rest of the season.

Decent preformance today and had GT worried for a while, we took the lead midway through the first half after a mistake from one of their players as last man let in Aaron Watts to lob the keeper, we kept it like that until pretty much the last kick of the half when their lively striker linked up well with the CM and slid the ball into the corner. Second half they looked a bit more lively going forward and took the lead, we then had a few chances to get back level Stevens robbed the defender and squared for Sim, but an unfortunate bobble saw him slice wide from 10 yards with the goal gapping, Stevens went through and naively stayed on his feet despite several trips from the full back inside the area and it was enough to put him off with a tame effort, felt we had another penalty shout when the left back handled a cross but there were too many bodies in the way for the ref to see clearly. GT were looking lively at the other end and our stand in keeper pulled off some good stops before they got a fortuanate 3rd when a deep corner drifted straight in at the far post. Stayed like that until the last 5 minutes when Tom Dunne broke through one on one with the keeper and he blasted into the roof of the net. The comeback was shortlived though as GT struck back to restore the 2 goal margin in less than 2 minutes. You'd be hard pressed to know it was an unbeaten prem side against a struggling division 3 team on the day, hopfully we'll continue this into next week's county cup game.

doesn't really feel unlucky, feels like we threw away all our work of the first 30 minutes. never mind, worse things happen at sea

Late kick off saff had to drag a couple of lads out the canal managed to scrape 11 for a 10:50 kick off, expected a pasting but went 2-0 up then prem got one back 2nd half went 4-1 up last 20 mins was backs to the wall big time and prem pulled a couple back in the last 5 maybe if the game was ten mins longer they would of nicked it but we held out for a fantastic win!!!!

Better performance today and a deserved win got the winner last minute of extra time get in..although was just having one of those games today everything i hit was on target just not going in..

Hat & Beaver 0 v 3 Throops

A tale of two halves today, Beaver could have quite easily gone in at half time 2/3 goals to the good, we had to thank our keeper for two top drawer saves and the fact that their strikers hadnt had shooting practice this week. And it would have been just what they deserved as we were woeful, half time came at 0-0.

A substitution and tactical change for the start of the second half saw the more normal Throops game come out, though still not at full pelt we were able to get behind and create our own chances, of which we took 3 out of possibly 8/9 good scoring chances.

Until we get a settled group of players turning up week in and week out we wont be challenging for anything.

Great hard battling performance for The Wheel today.

It was obvious even before kickoff that some of the Hotshot lads thought it would be a walkover, and i suppose they had every right to think that after giving us a 1-7 spanking in the game at our place. But when you hear comments from a certain player in the Hotshots team along the line of "we dont need him cuz they're rubbish" it makes this victory even sweeter!!! i have to say if the striker in question could finish his dinner when its put on a plate for him the scoreline may of been different, maybe he was talking about himself when he mentioned "rubbish"

We were under the cosh pretty much all game but we stuck at our task and frustrated the hell out of Hotshots and you could tell it was getting to them, after all they are the league leaders and this should've been easy!!! I have to admit we were lucky to still have 11 on the pitch after the Badger lost his rag but escaped with a yellow.

Going in at 0-0 was a massive boost to our lads and we said at halftime we had to continue to frustrate and hassle in the hope of getting a chance. And that chance came and unlike said Hotshot player Priddy gobbled up his dinner and The Wheel had something to hold onto.

We were then pummelled untill the final whistle but we stuck at our task and could of quite easily won 0-2 if the big man Willows could of got the correct corner of his 50p head on the floated ball in with the goal at his mercy, but it screwed wide and the goal his display deserved went beggin'

I wish the Hotshots lads well and good luck for the rest of the season and overall they are a good bunch of lads just the odd one who thinks he's maybe better than he actually is.
The moral of this game is never underestimate your opposition.

Ye hotshots played terrible today specially that small pikey lookalike centre back who i believe to be there manager. Wheel defended well holding a good back line. Hotshots have got a lot of talented players but they just dont get on well as a team unlike wheel who are tight and sound as a team. Also that striker (captain) wouldnt get in my sons under 11's.

Glad to pull in 2 wins in a row after todays performance, we really battled and worked hard to get the result. Glad to have Rutter back in the strikeforce and he showed his class with another goal.
Have to say that the ref was really impressive, and was strong enough to start over ruling the CSKA lineman due to a couple of obvious attempts to cheat, which worked really well as he stopped putting his flag up at every occasion.
Div 5 seems the most open I've ever seen and think that any1 from 4-5 teams could win this league...it's all getting exciting!!

Magna 73 Rangers 10-2 The Kaffir Inn

Kaffir were short today and we were at full strength - that said our manager decided to play a "weaker" team, giving the likes of James Lamming and Kirk Holland a start at the expense of Joe Brown and Matty Howarth. We also had Liam Conaghan, Adam Lane and new signing John Rowe on the bench.

It was clear that Kaffir were not a full strength from the get go but if they can get David Atkins fit and playing every week he will bag for fun in Div 3 - a bit like Paul Leaver at Reem Team and he scored a couple of good goals for them today.

Phil Howard scored 4 although its debatable as to whether the first was an own goal by ex Magna player Sam Green, Kirk Holland proved the managers selection right by powering a header in. Even James Lamming popped up with a couple of good goals and maybe should have a had a hat trick. Lee Tyers also scored 2, one of which was a magnificently taken volley. New signing John Rowe came on and showed touches of class and he neatly placed one into the bottom corner.

Very pleased and slightly more rosie after last weeks mare and refereeing performance which I'm still not letting go.

Not slagging him off just highlighting the fact his attitude stinks and writing off a team before a balls kicked was prehaps your teams undoing today. As for hoofball i seem to remember plenty of hotshots balls over the top first half that i keeper used for catching practice!!! football/hoofball whatever your in Div 6 mate and whatever we played today we came away with 3 points from the league leaders! hoofball every week if we get 3pts!!

and you'll do well to see me in the scoring charts i've only bagged abou 5 in 10 years of footy so no worries there!!!!

[/quote] firstly we never expected it to be easy as 2 of our influential players where missing plus we thought the first 45 mins at your place was a very tough half of football. Yes we missed sitters today yes we got on each others backs yes we got punished for it and there are no excuses for playing so badly. That said your obviously very happy with your result coming on here trying to slag us off but the fact is you won today because we played badly. I personally think you have a very solid unit at the wheel but also think your silly to make these remarks when one glance at the table tells the real story here!
