rang them to find out if a player can play if his ban ends on a sunday ie on sunday 10-10-2010. and was told that they didnt no. so can i play him or not

The ban is usually inclusive of the dates set out as far as i know.

spurs the player wudnt be able to play untill the following sunday ie 17th oct

a weeks ban would be monday to sunday . i.e ban starts on 10th still banned on 16th available againg on monday 17th example.

or check weather it is a 1 match ban i was on a ban this weekend 1match which was served saturday was available next day .
