Good run out against a very young and physically fit Glenfield side. They went one nil up after about ten minutes and my lads then played some of the best football we've ever played. Made some very good signings with Superfly winger Ash Caney scoring a thunderbolt free kick and another 2. Stu Iddisah scored another hatrick.
New signings Nathan Battu and Colum Duffy with the other two.
Good work out for us as they were a good competitive team, just think our age and physicalness was a bit to much. Sure Polska Legend would agree. I would! Think they lacked a bit of maturity as you would expect - their guy upfront (Danny?) just had his head down all the time and it was little things like that, but a great set of lads who will get better with age. Stu and Aaron Soper were quality for your lot, very impressive.

Good performance by us considering missing 7 players away on stag dos and as yet no training and only having a bare eleven. Should have a much stronger squad sunday against magna.

Scorer: Luke Smith
Good game, quite open, both teams tried to play football where possible. For me MDH Knights a little stronger if i was to chose a Division 5 winner but Harrow will certainly be there or there abouts, seemed to have a very settled side and that may work in their favour come the end of the season, as MDH (Lutterworth) tend to fail to fielded their first choice 11 week in week out. Harrows front two will cause teams a lot of problems though
Thanks to Harrow for the game, good luck for the season.

Bakers were missing a few today, but we played very well. Really impressed with my signings. And we were missing 3 or 4 key players also today.
Great team effort and nice passing game, also, possibly scored one of the best set pieces I've seen at grass roots level. Corner came across to Aaron Soper who volleyed it top corner. Beckham-Scholes esque.
Looking forward to Sporting Highcross next week.

Great end to end game, Kirkby was 2-0 up at half time then Niffy went 3-2 up with 5min to go before a great goal by Kirkby to bring it level in the last min only for a unlucky Kirkby defender to knee a bullet of a shot past his own keeper to win it for Niffy 3min into injury time. btw the game was Excelently reffed by me, i gave myself 10 out of 10

The knights ran riot today with a good first half display and an exceptional second half which saw 7 goals fly past the sportsmen keeper. Still the team aren't happy belieiving there is more improvement to come but good performances throughout with new boys tom dunne and adam stirling bagging braces, a hat trick from the ever impressive lee stevens and a goal a piece from dom page and ross digby who was excellent on the day. The midfield was dominant throughout with lee perry commanding both inm the air and on the ground and captain liam day marshalled his new look defence wellbolstered by man of the match ben sparrow.
All in all a great performance, bits to work on but really proud of the boys.

Rightly so as it turned out, sometimes these adverts on the forum can pay off.
Webbies were far superior to us today especially the last 20-25 minutes when they stepped up a gear and we couldnt handle them.
I could say we were missing some key players today but that would be detromental to Webbies who i would say are going to be up at the sharp end of Div 2.
3-1 was a fair result | |

Had 4 players missing today but still had 5 on the bench!! Horrible start to the game, went two nil down after twenty minutes. We seemed to give them to much respect and time on the ball, but we settled in after twenty minutes and played really well. Stu Iddisah with a penalty, and Aaron Soper scoring another spectacular goal, a lob from just inside the half.
We also missed another penalty, and Sporting missed a couple also.
Good game, a massive challenge for us, and really happy with the result. Cheers to Highcross and Mr Polska.
