| Thurmaston WMP 2-9 Huncote Sunday 9 Started slowly and went behind but after the first ten minutes we controlled the game and probably could've had more than 9. Great start to the season for us. | |

| Foxes 4-1 webbys. Poor start for us 4 down in 13 minutes welcome to the prem. Paul pallett pulled the strings for them and after he went off at Halftime levelled the game a little. After all the league have again made a massive Error promoting us but we'll do our best. | |

| Sporting birstall 5-1 Mossdale rangers
Dominated most of the game but couldn't score first half and went in 1nil down at half time to a sloppy penalty. Came out second half on fire, quality display second half, great start to the season.

| ea 1 qpr 3 great team effort from us all today. cracking 1st time strike from gifford for the equaliser which sent us in 1-1 at the break. unfortunate for EA'S goal as we took a throw in on the half way line, our lad did a gerrard and slipped over missed the ball which allowed their winger a clear run at goal. a 35 yard free kick rocket from me put us 2-1 up and then will west debatably put us 3-1 up. i thought it had already crossed the line from a gifford zlatan scorpian kick but the keeper pulled it back from behind the line only for will to smash it home. we felt we matched them today and after last season it was nice to start with a win. EA good set of lads who i believe will still be one of the favourites for a title challenge, we just caught them on a bad day. | |

| mowmacre&hoskins 3 star and garter 4 end to end... we lead 3-2 at halftime had a couple of chances late on but just ran out of steam,no disgrace losing to the best team in the county, and proves we are more than capable of challenging. well reffed and played in a very very competitive spirit with respect for each other. | |

| First game of the season and it was definitely a slow start from us. First 15 minutes global were all over us and managed to find the breakthrough after we failed to clear a corner and the ball bounced around like a pinball before be poked home. Only notable chance for us in the opening 20 minutes was when he hit the bar. We started to settle down and got done luck when the ball was played into the box by Steve Toone and it went through to keeper for Chris Weston to equalise. Shortly after we were in the league when a dale Clarke free kick was met by Michael Sweeney at the near post. Global applied some pressure but we held out until half time. Second half we played slightly better and created more chances. Mark Allen getting on the end of dale's ball to flick home. The fourth a bit controversial as our player was initially offside but judged not to be interfering, so Stef Kuzyk broke free from an onside position one on one with the keeper. Everyone had stopped but Stef continued and scored. We defended well there after and saw the game out for our first 3 points of the season. | |

Poor showing by us and definitely not the start we wanted as a new team .... But we will pick our heads up and start again next week! Thanks for the game, played in a good spirit throughout - apologies that we were a bit of a shambles when we arrived! We've been on the end of some opening day hammerings (Vale, Inter Mivan spring to mind) but we have come back and done well against them later in the season. I think the more games you play the better you will do. It looked as though you had some good players who will help you compete in this division, but you were obviously still working out how best to use them and play to your/their strengths. Best of luck for the rest of the season (apart from the return fixture;) )

A decent start for us this season, against a team that I think will cause other teams in the division problems. Game itself was a bit scrappy in parts, with both teams not playing at their best, but both teams also having plenty of chances to score just not putting them away. They brought plenty of support, shame one of them did not help their lino who struggled to keep up with play for large spells of the game. And we were left grateful the Ref ignored a poor offside call that lead to our winner that even their captain was decent enough to agree that the Ref made the right call, but other than that, it was a pretty clean game and we wish them well for the rest of their season.

I was really impressed by CFA, they played good football and were a lot more clinical than us. We had our chances but were largely second best throughout. An enjoyable game to start the season despite the result, played in the right spirit. Would also like to add that the game was excellently refereed. Hopefully we can give a better account of ourselves next week and the next time we play CFA.
