Yes - tell us about the game in this thread - not in the results thread

Phoenix 8 West End 1

Our season has finally kicked out of first gear with a thumping win over what will be a decent side in this division, just ask NRI. 0-1 after 20 seconds and 1-1 at half time, after that i think playing good passing/possession may have tired west end out a bit in the second half and the final score showed that on our day we can be a bit of a force.

First of all Magna played well and thoroughly deserved their win. Better in every department.

The saddening thing is that we showed no desire, no fight, no chat. nothing.
is the worst performance i have seen in my time here, bar none.

we should learn from the desire that a good club like Magna put in

Cracking game, played in the right spirit, both sides gave a good account of themselves.
Fortunate to win at the end a corner hitting the up right and then landing at the centre backs feet. Terrific.

Division 2 looks like it could be a very interesting one this year with the first batch of results it seems that any team are capable of taking points off each other!

Good competitive game against countesthorpe today for us. Countesthorpe by far the better team in the first 45 and I don't really know how we managed to come in 1-0 up. Second half was fairly even and we managed to get a second 10 from the end which sealed the points.

Thanks to the royals for a good game as always. All the best for the season.

MDH 3-4 CSKA

A lot of lads missing today meant we started with a new look back 4 and makeshift midfield, we really lost it in a very un-organized first 10 minutes going 3 down due to individual errors (2 assists to there keeper says it all), made a change 15 mins in and forced our way back into the game got it back to 3-3 and were looking the more likely to push on and win it but a slip at the back from another long ball let in their striker who finished very well from a tight angle. disappionted after the fight back and thought we should have got more out of it but fair play to CSKA they finished well and we'll hope to bounce back next week.

Just a word about rent a gob in the middle (Clint or Clink or Cliff) apparently we are the worst team they have played this season, all i can say to that is does'nt say a lot for your team does it when you lost.

We did the squad rotation system today which nearly backfired especially going 1 down on 40 mins but our supersub Lance duly obliged with 2 goals to take us through, obviously missing the captains influence on the pitch today although DAMO did a truly stupendous deputizing role.

Out of us, Hat and Beaver and the Referee, one of us was absolutely shocking today, I have to say, we were poor based on wednesdays game so you decide.

what a way to bounce back from weds night shocker 1st 15 mins we was letting FC Komrska have to much of the ball but from then we out pass out played them the only bad thing to say was should have bin more but a 2-0 win another 3pts week off next week 3 more weeks be4 am back up the talbot

Premier sports travel 2 v 3 SPORTING HIGHCROSS

Very good game of football today with both teams going at it end to end, again same as last week both teams had chances they missed!! a few strange decisions for both teams off the ref but generally he did well!! Stand out players on the pitch were prem sports keeper and our centre back dean and our keeper rich!!
Very pleased with the result and look forward to taking on advance next week!!!!!

I think our leading scorer Geo has broken his ankle. He is awaiting results from an x-ray. Absolutely gutted for the lad

Played Desford today and won 5-3, after going in level at the break (2-2) we then had a really good streak to go 5-2 up. We struggled today for numbers, with 5 injuries, one on a half marathon run and two on holiday....oh and one player MIA after pulling down Liquid last night, managed to get him down for 10:25am....sunday league rocks!!
Enjoyed the game today, all the best to the Desford lads.

bullshead lost 2-0 today , never should they have lost bullshead having 2 disalowed linesman for advance man of match and all second half was bullshead with all the chances

We couldn't score in brothel today mate, your right how we didn't have the game wrapped up in the first half i'll never know, cheers for a good game though.

Superfly 4 - 2 Bakers Arms.

Superfly scored within the first 20 secs.
Bakers managed to make it level before half time.

2nd half Superfly came wanting it more and it paid off!
At 4-1 up Superfly switched off a bit which cost us a late goal.


Ref took alot of stick for letting the game run on at times, Although i would say he was spot on 99% of the time. Very consistant and deserved credit not stick.

Saw the "Wigston" derby today, AC v Sporting. Sporting very sharp up front, especially with Saunders back from injury. With Williams, Wade & Waldrom all absent Sporting still have 70 odd goals to come back into the side and will be better as the season goes on. Dee, you've lost it mate. Why take your best player off with over half an hour still to go?

decent game today thought trinderbox were a handful up top we went 1-0 down and i think when we had equalised they thumped the woodwork 3 times was really living dangerously at times but we took our chances and game over at 4-1 really although they got 1 back and and maybe they missed another sitter but we had a few near misses ourselves all in all good game.

You on about Aaron soper there? If so I heard today he has had enough and has made an enquiry about a move in October!

Lost 5 players due to bad tackles in the last few games etc
but with a scratch side done brilliant.
All the best to sunbury good lads all the best for the season as they
shared a few beers with us after unlike sides who said they were coming and backed out.

lost 7-0 to perrin today.

We had two perfecly good goals disallowed for offside despite one from player who had to take on a player to score and another when the keeper parried the ball out and someone tapped it in even though perrin had a player on the line.
Perrin played alot of good football to be fair but wont be remembered for that im affraid,

yeh u have the odd lino who "accidently" puts his flag up the odd time for a offside that wasnt, but this lino perminantly had his flag up , it was beyond a joke.

well ive played against perrin, kirby and moshdock this season and id had to say Kirby looked the better out of the three but to early to tell i guess

lost 2-0 to advance today went in half time 1-0 down tho could quite easily of been in the lead as we hit the bar and had goal ruled out for off side (lino was a blatant cheat) second half they didnt sniff our goal till last 5 mins when unfortunately for me i let in a howler got megged (hate gettin megged above all) had another goal ruled out for off side and missed a few easy chances thought we were excellent today and just as competitive as them if not better and deserved something from the game.
ps the ref was diabolical must of had a bet on advance to beat us pre season lol

I was at your game against kirby friday night and wasnt your linesman over ruled for flagging for off side ? As mark lever agreed with your first goal being off side and he him self called it too. i was asked who was off for the second goal i replied and the ref gave a free kick . if you have a problem with that change the rules of the game. and please feel free to come up and speak to me at any time you feel you need an explanation.At 5-0 who needs to cheat. rules are rules if you dont like them dont play. did you hear us moan when the flag went up ? NO !!!!

We had our propper starting 11 today barring one player, 4 changes to our starting 11 against you and a goal keeper who actually played well and was not ill like he was against you. They are a good side only week link i think was there defence as they try to pass it round tooo much and lose it.
