Friar lane 1-3 fccol
Scrappy game that never rli had any rythem but happy with the battling performance to give us a 3-1 win. Friar lane got a few decent players n a quality big lad at the back but felt they didnt rli have much up top. At 2-1 game was on a knife edge and felt friar were gunna eqalise but they never had the stamina to go for it and that aloud curt to run through 3 players and rifle it into the roof of the net for the 3 point. Gd set of lads through and gd luck for the rest of the season friar, they will pick up much more wins than they did last season

Dukla 4-3 CFA
great game from both teams, dukla controlled the 1st half cfa the 2nd. Dukla 2 up at half time with some solid football and restricting cfa to a couple of half chances. 2nd half cfa came out with more bite and managed to peg us back to 2-2, a Seed worldy restored our lead but again cfa hit back and made it 3-3, cfa had a few chances to snatch a win but we kept pressuring their back line and managed to get a winner to make it 3 out of 3 so far. Cfa will be challengers no doubt this season with the pace and ability they have. Cfa also a great bunch of lads and was a pleaser playing against them.

Enness United vs Harborough Hotshots: 14-0

Great goals all round from the lads. The football still had to be played today and we played it well!

Goals from:

Kyle Hanson 5
Andy Morris 3
Liam Davies 3
Chris howarth 2
Mickey Cornish 1

Pretty much controlled the game after the first two goals!

Well done lads!!

Huncote 1-2 Talbot

Two individual errors from cost which both lead to goals cost us today. Kepper drops one in the net direct from a corner and silly pass is intercepted for Talbot's second who only had one shot on target all game. Had a great chance to go 3-1 up but their striker flashed it wide. Draw would've been fair but that's football.

Talbot's keeper played well made 3 very good saves when we were putting the pressure on towards the end. Not a bad set of lads who play hard but fair.

Groby Town 2 - 3 Wigston Fields

Goal scorers; Mark Allen x2 and Stef Kuzyk

Anther game and our first win. They say the sign of a good team if when you play rubbish and win and that's exactly what we did today. Starting with an injured player and a couple carrying knocks we were slow and chances were few and far between. Groby got the advantage when a long ball went all the way through to the striker who fired past the fields keeper. Fields had a few good opportunities but weren't able to convert until Callum Marvin hit a long free kick to mark Allen who turned both defender and keeper before slotting home. 1-1 at half time. Groby then took the advantage in the second half when a corner was not defended by wigston and the Groby player slotted in. After that wigston never looked like getting anything from the game. Step up Stef Kuzyk; from a throw mark Allen turned inside laid the ball to Stef who turned and curled a beauty into the top corner. Out of nothing fields were back in it. Not long after that we were ahead; mark Allen with a 25 yard looping shot caught the keeper of guard and dropped in. Fields then help on to the win to remain unbeaten from the first three games.

Tumar 2-3 Thurmo Res

Not the best game today abit scrappy by both teams, but we will take the 3 points which i think we deserved and considering the players we were missing, our 3rd goal was a great team goal, i think there lino needs to learn the offside rule though.....good luck to them for the season.

Global 5 WPR 0

Did the job in the first half and went in 4 up. Played ok (and like last week) but still not at our best. I hope I'm not doing him a disservice but the WPR keeper seemed to be an outfield player in goal which didn't help them.

As the game opened up we played some good football but missed some chances to win by a bigger margin.

We lose a couple of players next week but have a better squad than last season so have a some to come in.

After we had a player break his arm in our friendly against WPR, it seems they may have had a player dislocate an elbow. Hope he's ok and wish him a speedy recovery.

Went 4-0 down in twenty minutes changed formation and switched defender and forward both have stormers are centre half gets a trick. Funny old game.

Royal oak 5 aylestone athletic 2

Firstly congratulation to oak wanted it from the word go

We on the other hand never got going in the game when we did we it was for short spells here and their but never really looked like troubling oak.the game was a proper Sunday league game with big tackles flying in tho some of oaks where dangerous & could count then selves lucky to finish with 11 still on pitch / early goal set us back then at half time was 1-0 die started second half and we hit the buffers big time it all fell apart and again early goal we got back into it 3-1 and thought we would push on but we fell apart again 4-1 then 4-2 and our tank had run dry ended up 5-2 but if wasn't for some last ditch defending could been cricket score oak will trouble a lot of teams how they play we had one of those days where it never gets going looking forward to return leg I'm sure..!!! we won't give oak the easy ride they had today its long season and still plenty time to recover from this blip maybe wake up call we needed to get the teams head on it going forwards

FC Pochin 4 v 0 Queniborough Park Rangers

Azza 2
Kenroy 2

Another good performance from us - everyone wanting the ball and comfortable with it and in truth it could have been and probably should have been a bigger score line. Lost count of how many shots we had today but there keeper pulled off some fine saves.

QPR are a sound bunch of lads and I also thought the ref was excellent today

humbo 9-0 ur

one of the strangest games i have ever played in! found ourselves 4-0 down at half time and not really knowing we why. we had played well in the first half!
2nd half there lad scored a screamer almost straight away and that seemed to kill us off completely after that we all over the place!

humbo are a very good side though and were missing a few players as well! think it will take some team for them not to win this league

FC Azzurri 1-1 star & garter

Possibly not the most pleasing game on the eye to watch but it was a full on game!! End to end match with both sides trying to get at each other but not many clear cut chances at all. For me the 2 stand out players on the pitch were Danny hodgkinson for us and jim mee for star.
Star took he lead following a great piece of play from wheeler and we equalised about 10 minutes later with hodgo getting a header in at the back post.
Thoroughly enjoyed this game today and loving it in the prem, we've had 2 very competitive games now and enjoyed both.

Oh and we should have charged people to get on Knighton park today with the amount that were watching the game!!

Niffy Rangers 2-1 Webbys
Started the game really well, but a wonder goal from Webbys striker after 15 minutes left us feeling like it wasn't going to be our day once again. However with our pacy front line we always have a chance. A couple of goals from long balls got us in front at the half time. In the second half both teams had a couple of chances but the ball didnt hit the net again. Happy with our 1st win and much needed 3 points.

Not 100% sure what happened with the reserves but the lads mentioned that some of the Wigston Rangers lads still had NRI shorts. Any news on whether the team name is changing??

We had 2 former NRI players today. The rest of the 14 man squad played for us last season. Was a surprising result as we had expected a tight game; the Niffy defence was non-existent, could quite easily have been 18 or 19.

White horse 0-4 lks

Cant fault our lads today really even though we lost i thought we still played some good football and got in behind quite a few times if it wasnt for there flag happy lino we would have got afew today must admit some were off but there were also quite afew that wernt. Lks scored 3 sloppy goals on our behalf we just couldnt get rid of the ball to clear our lines for some reason they also scored a miss hit cross that done our keeper even though there player will claim the shot lol. One of there goals was also offside our lino flagged for it but it wasnt given. The guy who scored wasnt off but a player that got a touch to put it into his path come from an offside position so in that respect i thought we were unlucky. But take nothing away from lks they are a quality side and are solid through out they should win this league easily. Always a good game against them good bunch of lads great banter as always due to afew of our lads knowing most of them all the best lks look forward to the game atbyour place.

Azzurri 1-1 S&G

This was a battle. Expected a tough game and so it proved. On the day it was a very even game and enjoyed the watch, no headlosses for a change although we came quite close.

This for me proves that Azzurri will be up there at the end of the season. It was a capacity crowd watching on, i'd estimate about 60?

Wheeler scored a great goal today on debut and we are disappointed to have conceded from a set piece but like I say, no side deserved to win and we move on to Enderby Town next week.
