A comfortable victory in the end for the Ex after a very close fought 40 minutes. 2 quick goals in the last 5 minutes before half time to make it 3-1 and a further 2 in the second half sealed the victory.

Even though the conditions were awful, both teams tried to play good football.

3 for Turricci, one each for Laughton and Clocherty

played in plenty of finals rutland boy what about you? like i said we were missing key players, we wasnt any good yesterday yet you still struggled to get past us being honest you know 4-2 flattered you big time. and as for the double, watch and learn.

We were horrendous yesterday and just didn't get going i'm sure it's just a blip and we can get back to winning ways on Weds, to be fair it is the first game we have lost in the league since the beginning of November, so we're not panicing too much!

To be honest it was a a good tight game. Both team obviously short of a couple of players (but everyone says that), and I thought it had a 2-2 draw written all over it. But the goal that won it was a beauty. The game had another gaol and fortunately it went our way.

The league is far from complete and there are four teams who could still yet win it.

Bonzo is just a wind up merchant and needs a slap round the face with a big wet fish

great result for exeter yesterday regardless of who had who out, at the end of the day its a squad thing and you dont win things with a bare 11! just one of the many twists to come between now and the end of the season and i can see most teams in the hunt for the league dropping points before the seasons out. ( just hopefully not us )

and yes gonzo is a wind up. i spoke to countesthorpes manager after our game and he is sure that its nothing to do with there club so i wouldnt go paying too much attention to what he says!
