THE ALLIANCE FOOTBALL LEAGUE – VACANCY FOR A LEAGUE PRESS OFFICER

One of The Alliance League Press Officers has advised the League Management Committee that he wishes to stand down at the end of the current season.

We are therefore seeking applicants who have the desire and capabilities to fulfil this important position. The Press Officer is an Officer of the League and a Member of the League Management Committee.

The duties include

-The collation of Match Results, Goal Scorers and brief Press Reports from Member Clubs in respect of all matches played. (You will be 1 of 2 Press Officers)

-Posting and Updating the League website with Match Results, Divisional Tables, Goalscorers, and Press Reports

-Email submission of the collated Match Information to the League Management Committee, the local media and others who require the information

-Liaison with Member Clubs on aspects concerning their Results

-Liaison with the other Press Officer and League Management Committee to ensure all decisions which impact upon Match Results; Divisional Tables and Goalscorers are enacted

-Attendance and Report at League Management Committee Meetings (Monthly during Season)

The suitable candidate will require availability and time, particularly on Sunday afternoons, but also on certain evenings, during the season (when evening games are played), to carry out the principal duties of collating match details and updating the website. Communication skills (Telephone, Text, Email etc) are required to fulfil the principal duties, whilst IT skills are desirable (Dreamweaver Software), to update the League Website. A lack of current knowledge of Dreamweaver should not preclude your application, as software installation and training can be provided.

An annual honorarium is paid which includes a contribution to telephone and IT costs. Other expenses are reimbursed as incurred.

Does the position interest you? If so please send your application in writing, to the League Secretary
