The new Alliance League season kicked off with over 200 goals scored and many eye catching scorelines.

New team Finchys head the early Premiership table courtesy of a 6-1 win away to Sileby Athletic. Spencer Edwards (2), Ricky Taylor, Marshall Keenan, Lynas King and Riaz Stephenson got Steve Finch’s men off to a flyer. Greg Fletcher got the Sileby consolation.

Mowmacre & Hoskins are many people’s idea of title winners, and they also got their campaign off to a flyer with a 5-1 win over Oadby Athletic 2012, who scored through Matt Baird. Jake Duffy, Ash Stone, Ezra Knight, Shaun Barber and Joe Issitt did the damage.

New side AFC Sporting Charnwood were indebted to Andy Moore who got all four of their goals in a 4-3 thriller over AC Wigston. They had to survive a scare though, being 4-0 up before a late Wigston fightback through Arran Leacock, Luke Foster and Kenroy Galloway.

Oadby Owls Mens and Sparta Moshdock fought out an enthralling 2-2 draw. Danny King and an own goal gave the hosts a two goal advantage before Aaron Preston netted twice to salvage a point.

Division 1 title favourites St Marks Old Boys underlined their prowess with a 5-1 win over Sporting Mowmacre. Tyler Sibson’s hat trick was joined by goals from Mitchell Birt and Kyle Williams. Darren Wheeler scored for the visitors.

Jaseem Khamkar scored a hat trick for CFA as the Billy Walton cup holders beat Huncote Sunday 3-1.

Ash Hastings was at the double and Callum McKinder on target for Thurmaston Club as they triumphed 3-1 over Gaunt.

Steve Perry, Craig Smith and Chris Patrick all bagged for Webbys Wanderers as they enjoyed a 3-1 win over Athletic Blaby.

Lewis Johnson and Joe Pickering had put Blaby & Whetstone Old Boys 2-0 up against FC Willow before supersub Jamie Barnett came on and scored both to end the game 2-2.

Tim Glen and Roy Thomas did enough to get Aberdale Galacticos over the line in their 2-1 win over CSKA Carnabys, who netted through Dave Payne.

Shaun Brown (2), Matt Tebbutt (2), Ryan Aitken and Alistair Jones all scored for Niffy Rangers as they beat Lakeside United 6-1. Callum Sankey notched for Lakeside, Niffy go top.

Jack Oliver’s double plus goals from Sam Foster and Kevin Fisher gave Swinford Chequers a 4-2 win over Pukka Pies. Brendan Osbourne and Thomas Guice for Pukka.

In Division 3, a Jordan Wakeling hat trick was enough as Bulls Head Whetstone ran out 3-1 winners over Desford Athletic Page Plumbing, who scored through Jamie York.

Ryan Rowley was also a hat trick king as his treble for Friar Lane gave them a share of the spoils in the 3-3 draw over Suecastle. Harvey Jones, Jack Tranter and Patrick Crofts got the goals for the hosts.

New side West Leicester Panthers lead Division 4 after a 7-1 humbling of Crown Hills. Zak Ginvert (3), Andrew Culver (2), Corey McKinlay-Best and Harry Turner found the net. Josh Heggs for Hills.

Gaunt Reserves prevailed 3-0 over Dunton & Broughton Dynamo.

Zak Winstone (2), Shane Smith, Damon Laywood and Glynn Royle all got off the mark for Blaby United Sunday 2016 as they beat AFC Royal Oak 5-1. Michael Haggarty with the consolation.

Josh Kenyon (2), Mikey Smith, Dom Page, Stuart Cooke and Rory Mason all scored for Royalist as they beat Merry Monarch 6-2. Rob Mant and Pete Wright for Monarch.

Joseph Downing, Mark Allen and an own goal got Division 6 champions Wigston Fields 2012 off to a 3-1 winning start over Wigston Plough Rovers. Wayne Dean with a consolation.

Honours even in Division 5 as Braunstone Trinity and The Cricketers drew 2-2. Sam Alderson and an own goal for the hosts, with Anthony Ward hitting a brace for the away team.

Zaid Pandor, Suhail Sameja, Louis Chambers and Farhaan Abubakar all bagged for CFA 04 in their 4-2 win over Fairfield Athletic. Luke Thompson a brace for Fairfield.

Glenfield United beat Queniborough Park Rangers 2-1 thanks to goals from Jack Lane and Lee Wilcox. Moz Morris for QPR.

Goals were the order of the day as Inter Mivan GNG beat Knighton Park Dynamo 7-6. Nikesh Godhania (4), Jaison Rughani (2) and Hardeep Singh did the damage. Kraig Anderson, Melvin Hands, Aaron Harrison, Ryan Meredith, Gaz Jones and Gav Sawbridge got the Knighton efforts.

Tendai Dare continued where he left off last season – his hat trick helped North Kilworth Sunday to a 6-1 romp over Trinderbox, who scored through Jack Scott. Louis Samuels, Mason Bradshaw and Huw Phillips also found the net.

Joe Cook and Callum Knight shared a brace apiece as River Swift beat FC Tumar 4-2. Ben Murphy and Ben Jackson for the visitors.

Division 6 new boys Birstall Social Talls Club and New Forest Rovers drew 2-2. Jordan Storrs and Todd Biggs for Rovers.

Andrew Dudson and Dave Mee combined to give Hi-Chrome United a 2-1 win over FC Blaby Foxes, who scored through Luke Moore.

A Ben Smith treble and an own goal gave Medz a 4-1 win over FC Shortlands. Chavez Peters and Lewis Myers couldn’t rescue the hosts.

Tom Bettinson and Connor Atkinson gave Horse & Trumpet the edge as they beat Lutterworth Club 2-1. Callum Taylor for the visitors.

Thurmaston Conservative Club racked up the biggest score of the day: a 9-0 win over Mossdale Rangers. George Killen (3), Leyton Stimpson, Jake Inskip, Dave Ashford, Tom Stewart, Lewis Cooke and Declan Jones with the goals.

Liam Davies scored a tremendous double hat trick for Dukla as they beat United East Midlands 6-3. Damian Kew Moss, Eesa Nasar and Kane Clarke for United.

Matt Eversfield scored a hat trick and Connor Shuter a goal in Divsion 7 as AFC Bardo beat The Alliance 4-1, who bagged through Sam Blanksby.

Adam Rhimes, Chris Pope and Thomas Pritchard scored as Cossington Royal Oak scrambled a late 3-2 win over Leicester Bharat Talbot Reserves. Jamie Brant and Chris Miles for Talbot.

Mason Brown’s hat trick for FC Wygston was the difference as they beat Knighton Park Dynamo Reserves 3-2. Liam Hooper and Adam Jones got the Knighton efforts.

Jack Beasley was on target four times as Markfield Rangers Old Boys beat Blackbird Rovers 6-1, who scored through Ryan Allen. Harry Flint and Connor Phelps also found the back of the net.

Paul Gilding’s double and efforts from Jack Ball and Mark Lewis gave Newdawn Athletic a 4-2 win over Little Bowden.

Niffy Rangers Reserves matched the result of their first team as they won 6-1 against CSKA Carnabys Reserves. Duncan Samson (2), Jason Smith, Scott Clarke, Jamie Colvin and Connor Tuckley all struck. Keiran Warner got the CSKA goal.
