Pollards 2 - 5 Hotshots

Was chances at both ends, was a decent game. pollards will always trouble defences going forward.

think the break has done our lads good we were much better today than we have been recently.

look forward to the return fixture

Wigston Car Breakers 5 - 2 SPARTA MOSHDOCK aet

We put up a good performance against a very good Car Breakers team. They had the majority of the game but we dug in and worked hard. They were much better in the first half and went in 1 up. We battled well in the 2nd half and managed to catch them twice on the break to go 2-1. They equalised with about 13 mins to go.

Went in to extra time and their fitness told, we battled but they got 3 quick goals to kill the game.

Car Breakers are a quality side and will be a welcome addition to the Alliance if they make the move. Good luck to them for the rest of the season.

We just have the Prem to think about now and try and get a few results.

An unbelieveable game at humberstone park. 3-0 up to 6-6 after 90 mins. Penalty turned the game in their favour and ended up losing 9-6. We switched off n blaby took their chances

Oadby Owls 1 - 3 MDH Knights
We were clearly not at our best today and it was what you would expect really from a first game back. Passes didn't quite find thir targets and touches were slightly off but that said the workrate and organisation was great to see. Oadby are a real credit the way they look to play at every given opportunity, their passing game is up their with any team we've played, We'll come on for the run and proud to reach our second semi final in as many years. You just never know Wink

Npe 0-1 oak

Game of 2 halves. We seemed to have the best of the first half playing some good stuff and creating a few openings. Npe did have a header cleared off the line in the first half which was unlucky.
Second half npe came out and looked much more dangerous uptop. A harsh penalty was given to npe but there player opted for power rather Than Precision and smashed the bar. Npe then went 1-0 up with about 70ish gone with a good worked goal.

Not happy with a certain person but what can you do hey.

Well played npe, who I think deserved it in the end, good luck for the rest of the season which I can see being a successful one

Huncote 2-3 Magna Town (Sunday Shield)
2-2 after normal time and we scored in the last minute of extra time to win the game. Cracking football from both teams played in good spirit and well reffed by Dave Bullen. Goals from Luke Smith, Hogan Smith and super sub Ash Matysik (first goals of the season for Luke and Ash- what a time to score their first!) Thanks to Pete and the lads from Huncote for some lovely grub after!

NPE and oak was a tough battle today. Both teams worked really hard and oak are a strong powerful unit. The pitch dint help either but we are pleased to come away with the win because oak won't lose many games and it's another one done for us. Must say to be unbeaten still in January is a really good achievement and credit to the lads who work hard stay organised and rotate the squad. Think we are looking good for promotion as we have a few games in hand of the chasing pack.

Mivan 6 - 2 COL

Probably the worst half hour of football from us at the start, gave away two silly goals and both were easily avoidable. Even kicking the ball was a hard task for us. However we still created chances in went in at half time 2 - 1 down.

Second half was more like us, settled and creating chances at will.

Fair play to the leicester lads, never stopped working but was up against an in form Rav Dhillon.

Scorers:

Rav Dhillon x 4
Will Roulsten
Nick Walsh

Magna 73 Rangers 4-0 Kirby Muxloe Rangers

Phil Howard 3
Tom Cartwright

Won this at a canter today despite playing well below our best, we missed several chances, had a penalty saved and a goal disallowed. Phil Howard scored a trick and should have had many more. Tom Cartwright bravely went into a challenge with the keeper to score the other.

This result means that we finish top of the group which for us was vital especially as the runners up of this group play Prem Sports away. It looks like we will play Sunbury in the QF which is still a very tough game but i'd rather play them than Prem!

Little bowden 1-2 Firs old boys.

Tough game today first one back after the break, good result for us with a couple of new faces playing and doing themselfs proud. Two good goals from Mr wightman and a all round good performance from the whole team. Take nothing away from little bowden though just like ourselfs worked hard for the whole game with both sides really wanting the points. Good buch of lads at bowden wish you all the best for the rest of the season.

Started well had the best of the first 30 mins, road our luck a little but were 2 nil up, Magna pulled one back just after the half an hour mark and the equaliser late in the second half to take it to ET. looked like pens all day long and our tired legs tried the best to hold on....however, the younger, fitter Magna nicked a winner in the 120 minute....gutted, but as usual great team and a great game

Good luck to Katie, Ross, Ralph & the Boys (go and win it now Smile)

According to the Charnwood League website, the result in the FA Sunday Cup was Whitwick Compass 3 Lobster 2

The next round of the FA Sunday Cup is on 22 January, so therefore

Throops v Glenfield Town Sunday in the Walton can still be played on 22 January

and

Glenfield Town Sunday v Whitwick Compass in the Sunday Premier Cup will be deferred until 29 January

Harrow 0 GHW 0

A combative goalless draw which could have gone either way in the end. Harrow will count themselves unlucky not to have got a 1st half goal as the ball looked to have crossed the line but wasnt given. Harrow are a good side and a good set of fellas, plenty of good hard challenges but not an ounce of aggro from either side, very well reffed by Tommy Holledge.

We do it all again in the Stokes Cup next week

I think that was a spot on report sparky,it was a very entertaining 0-0, and played in the rite manner good old fashioned tackles going in but all fair, the ball did cross the line but we aint gona moan about it because its hard for the lino and ref to see and i think a draw was a fair result, hope stu's hamstrings not too bad and hes fit next week hes a top player and a good lad,u got a good bunch down there, see u next week mate Smile

I cant believe what i seen from us yesterday! We were an absolute shambles was probably the most embarassed i have ever felt on a football pitch! I was glad Saff Lounge didnt have ther shooting boots on otherwise it could of been 37-3 instead of 7-3 to be honest! And the 3 goals we got all came near the end when the match was well and truly over and two of them mistakes from Saff Lounge.

Good luck to Saff Lounge for the rest of the season
