St. Marks vs Azul Zorros

st marks to win 4-1 with there ringer getting a hat trick just like last week

Both teams have made good starts. I hear st.marks av 4 players missing on sunday, we av every1 avalable,so cud make for an interesting game.

Azul to win. 2-0

3-1 Azul Zorros Shaun Burden 2 and shane birt 1

I'd go with Azul too..... 3-2 don't think st Marks have been really tested yet so hard to judge them and Azul steadily improved through last season and into this.

As I have nothing to do on Sunday mornings anymore lol, I am definitely heading to watch this one.

Weve had the 'Rumble In The Jungle' and 'The Thriller in Manilla'.

I'm billing this one as 'The Fracas at Mowmacre' (yes, I know thats poor but if you say it right it does work!)

Both sides have good lads. Most people know I think Jack for St. Marks is a class act - Birstall's player of the year last season in my opinion.

Azul have some good lads too (Shaun, Rio) and got to know a couple more of their players as in they are sometimes in the bar at St. Pats after I've played for the vets there.

The game could go either way and will depend on who scores the 1st 2 goals. If Azul get a couple early on St. Marks will start arguing with each other and go to pieces. Conversely if St. Marks get the 1st goals their confidence will rise and could go on to win comfortably.

All things considered though, my hunch tells me Azul win

missing a few players next week but sure we can cope as one of top players have recently come back from injury.... should be a very good game everyone seems interested might have to start selling tickets

I'll have to make sure that the fete is on for less than 90 minutes though, wouldn't want to let em down by 'running out of steam' before the end

Hahahahahahaha can I just say how privelaged I feel getting all this attention, I think ull find for a start half our side have played division 5 before and our back there now and the fact ur all singling me out rele spurs me on so cheers for that. Jus like to say also that u boys rele better back your words up sunday cause u aint half gonna feel like a bunch of muppets if you don't trounce us by at least 5 goals like u keep saying so all the best for then and ill see you there in my colourful boots :p

it is just a normal game lol we go into every game wanting to win, theres nothing special about St Marks so its no different

I believe they are keen to make a statement Sparta3, which is all well and good if you can back up the words with actions. Just hope their game lives up to all the hype, I no the mood is good in the AZ camp and confidence is high. It is just another game we want to win. We did alot of good work last year in the 2nd half of the season and now with an opportunity to build on that we want to be successful just like any other side. I am sure when its 12.30 on Sunday, there will be plenty to tell about this game.

Think st marks all too confident they'll walk the league and that's after getting stuffed by us in a friendly. Azul did well second half of last season. Gonna go score draw with plenty of handbags thrown in.

St.Marks 5 - 3 AZ.

We didn't really deserve to win today (Azul). Fair play to St.Marks, scored two cracking free kicks and played some decent football. We woke up second half but wasn't enough in the end. Good luck 4 the rest of the season St Marks.

Didnt give st marks a good enough game for the full 90 but did have them on the back foot for 30 mins second half and had perfectly good goal ruled out which would have made a interesting last 5 mins , but overall would have been a bad result for them as they deserved to win it.
We will pick ourselves up but good luck to St Marks as they are well organised and play for each other
