yep we were well up for it aswell we had a full squad out for it gutted to be honest would have been a great game

Great win, noone really expected us to win this one, had alot of chances was a very good performance, hopefully this one will count for something. Would be nice if the opposition didn't fold.

hoskins 1 sunbury 3 sunbury were good value for their win today hoskins took the lead but never looked like getting back in the game once sunbury went ahead.good luck in the final.

After trying various numbers this week, phoning and texting The Good Old Days, received no communication back, but we still turned up as the same happened in our other two games we have played against them.
About 20 of NRI players and friends made the treck up to Uplands to play, set everything up and stood around until 11:30. Four of the TGOD players turned up (felt sorry for those guys). But game was called off. We had to pick some of our lads up from previous nights conquests to get to the game, so we made a lot of effort, plus those lads prob wanted to stay with their new found friends!!! Thought earlier in the week that TGOD were not going to turn up, but a simple phone call to tell us would have been the least i would have expected, TGOD = waste of Sunday mornings.
We will now have to pay for the use of the pitch, plus the rearranged game (if they manage not to fold).
Just on a positive note, thanks to Peter Scriven (ref) for giving as much time as possible before calling it off, and also for not taking any money off the team, one bright note.

started off poorly went 1-0 down after about 10 mins played poorly for about 20 mins then boom we seem to wake up, great passing and attacking with alot of pace could have been alot more but missed so many chances, it was good to see mivan never dropped there heads even being hammered so much, very enjoyable day and hopefully get us back on track

The normal action taken against teams who do not turn up is to deduct up to 3 points, fine up to £50, and pay the costs of the game, including ref's fee.

We were rubbish today, 2nd to everthing and pats deserved to win! Alot was said in the changing room after so were exspecting to put it right next week.

Quality and completely unexpected result for us today, thought we went about the game the right for a change with little or no arguing between the team lol

The game itself was really evenly matched with a draw being the probably the fairer result!! Ebony scored possibly the best goal I've seen on a sunday for bullshead,proper screamer on the volley!! Our goals came from dean edwards,luke bryan and sam beckett all 3 of which are defenders.

Really enjoyed the game today!! Good luck bullies for rest of the season

Fantastic result that is Dezza against a top team. You boys must have played pretty well today...disappointed for the bullies but well chuffed for you guys, hope you can push on

The home team can refund peoples petrol money as well.

what about 3 of us who have booked holidays off work to be there ? also, at the end of the day we get penalised beacuse now we will have to play another midweek game.

got to say well done today to sunbury battled very hard and stopped us playing .they aint best team we played but the got job done fair play.. must say very disapointed with the pitch we was put on . was on a normall sunday league pitch and the amount off money we paid aswell

think the billy waltons will be they are midweek.but must echo f.c.hoskins sentiments very dissapointed with being on the pitch we were, the under 14s were on the main pitch ....but if aylestone want to start hosting semis etc they need to be a little more hospitable pitchwise.not that the pitch effected the game sunbury were worthy winners.it just didnt feel like a semi stuck on a poor pitch out of the way.

Cheers mate, yeah we played alright to be fair, like I say wasn't expecting a result as the bullies are quality!! I think they helped us out a bit by resting a couple of their first teamers in all honesty but we were missing matt rudkin,louis finney-neckles and obviously our long term injuries!!

Bullies are a quality bunch of lads though and I wish them all the best for the season, seriously think they will finish top 3! We are hoping for 4th max maybe 5th

a boring game all in all to be honest and we were garbage today. sporting got a great bunch of lads and were worthy winners today in my opinion i thought there was not an awful lot of quality shown (apart from ebonys goal) think this might give sporting the belief again as they are a decent side and can certainly cause a few upsets.

Totally agree with the comment about the pitch, expected a lot better and for the amount you have to pay yet I would have been happy to have saved money and played on Hoskins or our own pitch. Was a hard game for us today and at 1-0 felt it could we could have been in for a long day. We knew that we would have to battle hard to stand any chance of winning and by the end felt we did enough to get to the final. Thanks also to the Hoskins players at the end for wishing us well in the final and best of luck in the Billy Walton Cup.

This section asked for news....i have been told you are a good ref, but you either have such unfounded blind hatred for us that you forget the rules or i have been misinformed and you are actually a poor ref that doesnt know the rules. Its really odd what you are like, because i have met your lad a few times and he seems sound.
