FC Tumar 5
Wigston Rangers 1

Dan Mitchell

Inevitable result really. 4 Division difference showed, disappointed not to have a scored a couple more though. Kept it at 1-1 for a good half hour, collapsed just before the break.

magna 6 -3 superfly

good game went 4-1 up and looked like we might run away with it but superfly battled back and made it 4-3 at half time we were alot more solid in the second half and grabbed two more goals to get in my opinion a deserved 3 points

MDH Knights 5-2 Leicester Accies

Thought we'd give it a go, know were not going to win it but wanted to see how we fared against much higher division opposition, They were missing quite a few I think but we played pretty well, attacking with pace and should of gone in at half time several goals up but for wasted chances it was 1-1. Second half was pretty similar, they kept the ball well for periods but we opened them up at the back fairly easily and improved finishing and them not having a recognised keeper allowed us to take a 5-1 lead, they got another late on a pressed us back but we held out. Don't think the gaffa's too happy wanted us to lose a closely contested game Very Happy

Spirited performance by us against a side 2 divisions higher and definatly and another step forward in terms of performance but some silly errors cost us just before half time. Good Luck to the Polska lads in the next round.

Shane Birt (2)
Tom Smith

Made changes after last weekends cup exit to QPR, dint start very well, 2-0 down at half time, but we kept battling and ground out a much needed result thanks to an 89th minute winner. Credit to the Wheel they fought til the end.

scrappy 5-3 bullshead

fairly even game today scrappy better 1st half led 4-2 at half time us better second half. scrappy had keeper sent off with 20 to go and we missed a penalty and a few 1 on 1s they also hit the post and missed a sitter felt after the 90 mins we deserved something tho even their players said so but they are an excellent attacking side scrappy best attackin advance best defending and organization should be a belter when those 2 meet.
thanks for the game scrappy and all the best for the season

Best performance so far this season from FC Hokins,Even tho we werent playing the best of teams(not taking anything away from niffy they put in a brave performance but they just couldnt cope with our slick passing and quick movement)not alot of teams would have taken away a result today,Ryan Bassett putting in a big performance scoring 4 goals, while Paul Ross(3)Makkie Adams and Jamie Toon also adding Goals to a almot perfect performance if it werent for our goalkeeper(David sills) Embarassed throwing/dropping it straight to there forward to slip it into a empty net,but apart from his lack of brains for 5 secs put in a good display with 2-3 fine stops.

Final score: FC Hoskin 9-1 Niffy Rangers

Sporting Wigston 4-1 Kauto Stars

Great performance by us today(Sporting), with 7 players out that would be in or around the 1st 11 today, we had to call in a few favours from players that are signed on in case of emergencies. Kauto were in the same boat to be fair and had quite a few players missing, but unlike us didn't manage to scrape together more than a bare 11.
So great 3 points for us and it should go along way to securing the mid table finish target for the end of the season.

Niffy A 2 - 1 Swapo
Very average performance by us today with only 1 or 2 turning up to play well. A number of players seem to coast against average opposition.
Swapo would be a good team if they got on with the game rather than whinging and complaining to the ref every minute about every decision. Got a little tedious with that and the pointless threats at our team, could do with a strong manager there to take 1 or 2 players aside.

Yeah, we've got 30+ players signed on and could only get out the bare 11, with our most injured player going in goal by default. I think this may be our last season, with us going to the vets league next year. We won't fold though, it's not fair on the rest of the division, and we'd like to fight to gain a bit of pride in the league and win a few games. If we get our best 11 out we will win some games, but that seems difficult at the moment. And people seem to underestimate how bad it is not having a regular 'keeper. We've had 6 in 8 games now, with only one of them being a recognised 'keeper. Really makes a difference.

Well done to you boys though, not taking anything away from your good win. Good bunch of lads, you came with the right attitude and won the game fair and square. Thought we dominated for the last 20 minutes (basically after I went in goal - perhaps I should give up playing on pitch!) and could have scored 3 or 4 but too late once we're 5-1 down. I think you guys would do well a division or 2 up, no problem.

Good luck for the rest of the season.
