Wigston Rangers 3 Sporting Birstall 2

Luke Firth, Luke Brennan, Oliver Watson.

We were brilliant first half and played some of our best football to lead 2-0. Let them back in slightly at 2-1 and 3-1 but saw it out in the end.

Inter Mivan 0-1 Wigston Fields

Joe Dowsing

It was a real gutsy effort from the boys today and a proper 'backs against the wall' job. Mivan had the lions share of the ball and worked it really well, with clear quality on there team. However they didn't really threaten the goal much in the first half. They did have about 10 corners all of which were of the highest delivery right onto our keeper. Clearly a tactic which they had been successful with before but this time our keeper was excellent in punching clear. Our keeper was also called into action to tackle the Mivan attacker on his touch after going clear through. Fields had chances of there own with one being fired over from 10 yards and Mark Allen shooting wide. Into the second half and it was more of the same; a great defensive display with bodies being put on the line. The breakthrough came when a fields free kick was cleared to Chris Weston who took a touch to put a diagonal ball right onto the chest of Joe Dowsing who controlled well and slid the ball home. Complaints of offside from Mivan and a linesman flag but the referee was in a great position to see and he played on. Full credit to him for allowing the game to continue. Definitely onside as the ball was played over. Fields kept the lead and defended well, Mivan and some good chances to equalise but didn't hit the target much, whilst fields hit a post and created some Decent openings on the counter. A first clean sheet in a year and three wins on the bounce in the league now.

leicester emeralds 1-4 gaunt reserves

the scoreline doesnt do justice at all we played very very well again should have been 3 up but failure to hit the target came back to bite us. battled well and went in at half time 1-0 down. heads were up still as always with us and played some very good football as did gaunt. an error from emeralds cb caused there second and it killed us, we kept going and ended up 4 down but got a goal thru a great paul scholes esq ball and a lob to finish off the move..... great game of football by both sides and all the best to gaunt reserves for the season

btw the game was reffed by ryan o mahoney and what a credit to the league he is. absolute top drawer appointment

Lost 3-2 to Sparta Moshdock.

Despite a tough start to the season, we are slowly trying to build to be able to compete at that level. We went ahead 1-0 early on and went in to half time 2-1 up but two sloppy goals conceded from set pieces cost us in the end.

Good luck to Moshdock, cracking set of lads.

Thanks lads.

You really surprised us yesterday. We have to admit we were a bit complacent about this one. In all honesty, I can't believe you're bottom of Div 2! But if you play anywhere near like that you'll be just fine.

Thanks again and good luck for the season.

CFA 3-1 Dukla

Another dominant display from CFA.

After going a goal down mid way in the first half, we scored two quickfire goals to turn the game on it's head. We got a third just before the half. We could have added a few more but Duklas keeper and centre backs were brilliant. Dukla defended superbly, teams will struggle to break these guys down.

Ranj.
