| Sunday Shield - Wigston Rangers 2 Oadby Athletic Reserves 7
Oliver Watson, Luke Firth.
4-0 down after 10 minutes and managed to get in at half time with the score at 4-2. A baffling decision to let them take a free kick quickly with their man still down injured was scored and at 5-2 we went down to ten with an injury - which ended the game as a contest.

You heard right We found ourself 3--1 down at ht after being 3-0 down inside 20mins great game not much football was played wasps wer dangerous in th air scoring first 3 as headers We came out 2nd half and went attacking but mistakes cost us and with 15 to play we was 5-2 down game looked over a dodgy penalty was awarded to us then a goal mouth scramble made it 5-4 game on and after ref had said 2 mins off injury time we looked beat cross came in there lad headed away and after ball came out the sky our new signing swung a left foot volley which rattld one post and hit side net opposite side one of best strikes I've ever seen in football and aet we went Wasps then went in front for third time but our spirit showed we are never beaten we equilised with a bobble of a shot from 30yards and then lottery of a shoutout Massive massive respect to wasps clapped us off after penalties and enjoyed a beer and food down the hoskins pub quality lads and great manager see them next season alliance prem ! | Meridian 2 - 1 Knighton park
From going from Enness united to running Meridian, the transition has been tough.
Today I actually saw the character of my new team mates after only having 10 men throughout the whole game. It never looked like we were a man down, as we battled for 90 mins and got all three points!!
Lovely | |

| NPE 5-1 Pochin - well both teams were down to absolute bare bones today. We must of had one if the oldest players doing a shift for us up top. Went 1-0 down to a well worked goal from Pochin with a great through ball and finish. We had a makeshift line up with centre half in goal and against the wind, slope and sun first half we were happy going in 1-0 down after an even first half. Second half we really improved using the conditions we scored early to equalised then missed a penalty. Pochin had a couple of chances but we got our second to make it 2-1 then scored 3 more quick goals to finish the game. Good to see some of the Pochin lads. Think we are both in same situation one week can have a good team out the next struggling. Good luck for the rest of the season.. | |

| aths 3 markfield rangers res 1
great to get a win today, especially off the back of last week. pitch wasn't great, not won here in about 5 or 6 visits so really chuffed to grind a result out. Defended well and midfield really dug in so pleasing to see. Good to see a strong alliance contingent in the sunday shield still. up the aths

Fortunately your oldest player up top was being marked by the 2nd oldest player!! I think most people know that Pochin have lost all but 3 players from last year and its been a tough season - not in terms of the 3 division promotion (as div 5 was a better standard) but just trying to get 11 lads out for a game. Myself and Chris are determined to see it through and not fold but personally I can't wait for the season to end. Well reffed as always by Gordon and good luck to the NPE lads for the rest of the season
