Mdh 5 ~ 5 shoeys... goals galore and thought it was reffed well however as it IS the talking point have to say at 5 3 up he gave a free kick for a great tackle which there players agreed with but i can see how he gave it as i was in goal and it mat have looked worse than it was. He made a HOWLER in which he gave a throw which tim glenn chased back from striker only for there lad to clearly run it out snd yes thry scored from that too ... fair enough cant do nothing now but he should accept responsibility and if tim gets a ban for reacting bad as he was well within his rights then its a disgrace clive should not send red in and be done with it .... mdh good bunch of lafs always a goo game just a shame you have morons on tbe side tbat let yoy down x

Wigston Fields 3 - 2 Monsell Reserves

Luke Allen
Callum Marvin
Stef Kuzyk

Fields took all the points with their first game under the new management of William Robinson! Slow start for fields. Didn't want it and weren't tough enough. We almost went 1-0 up when Danny hull was picked out in space to the right of the area but fired wide. Monsell looked dangerous on the break but didn't really have that clinical edge. They went 1-0 up when we gave the ball away after a corner and they broke through to slot home. It was almost two midway through the half when a corner was saved by our keeper but headed towards the goal, with Luke Allen on the post to clear off the line. At half time 1-0 down we had a chance. Second half we came out battling and wanted it more. After a scramble in the box Luke Allen popped up to poke home to equalise. 2 in 2 against monsell now! After that we settled and won a Free kick near the half way line and Callum Marvin floated it all the way into the top corner through the make shift keepers hands. We were on top but a short back pass allowed monsell to run through and make it 2-2. both teams had chances but it was Wigston who took all 3 points when Steve toone dribbled into the area and was brought down. Referee pointed to the spot and Stef Kuzyk did what he does best and slotted it home. We defended well to see the game out for an important win.

Pukka pies 3-4 Dukla St.Andrews

game of 2 halfs

Pukka took us to the cleaners 1st half and should have been at least 4 up at half time but their superb ball work was let down by some poor finishing and great stops from Jonsey. Also didn't help with our main man Toby Chandler getting injured after 20 mins and having to be replaced by Gaz our manager. Pukka though took a deserved 2-1 half time lead, our goal coming from centre back Amit Gogna from a keohane corner.

2nd half we made a slight formation change and pushed last weeks match winner Luke Nangreave up top with keo and had Zav in the centre mid with Gaz Walker and Cal Turner Danny Warrington on the flanks. This worked as we stopped pukka getting the space and time they had in the 1st half. The start ebbed and flowed then a direct free kick from 20 yards out was converted by captain Adam Bryans. Pukka started to argue with each other which allowed us to start getting in behind with Keo & Nannas hold up play and linking up well with the midfield. Our pressure finally told and a smart flick from nannas put keo through to put us up 3-2. Midway through the half keo play a superb ball to an unmarked Gaz Walker who controlled well but flicked the ball just wide with the keeper coming out well at his feet. Pukka made us pay for that miss by scoring what was most probably the softest penalty you will ever see given. A standard shoulder to shoulder challenge brought the refs hand pointing to our spot. But again we pressed on as did pukka looking for the winner but it was us with man of the match Nangreave again setting up keo who neatly chipped over the on rushing keeper. Apart from lks pukka are most definitely the best team we have played in div 6 and i can see them challenging in the top 4 easily this season.

Pukka pies 3-4 Dukla St.Andrews

Rob Jacko 2 Keohane 2
Adam sibo Bryans
Gogna
Very good game this morning vs Dukla and they did well second half to end up winning after being 2-1 down at half time to us and we should have gone in at half time about 5-1 but second half we got sloppy and and made some silly mistakes and sure did they cost us in the end. Was a very good end to end game and fair play to Dukla in getting there win all the best for the rest of the season and for us the mighty oranges will be bk stronger next week Smile

WPR 3 MJR 1

A good battling performance from an ever improving WPR. Went one goal down, but heads didn't drop and we got stronger as the game went on, pulling it back to win 3 - 1. very pleased with the performance and gained some revenge for losing a 3 nil lead in our first ever game of the season back in September. Well played all!!

Enness United 4 - 3 LB Talbot

Another tough game for us through injury and sickness. Had 11 men all game.

We started the game and both teams looked strong in attack. Talbot took the lead around 20 mins in. We kept the pressure up with Mickey at right back finding space and who's crossing was impeccable today. After a goal mouth scramble, Kyle poked the equaliser home. Both teams really wanted it and after clearing a Talbot free kick, Liam did what he does best and chased hard to pressure their defence and after winning the ball and running half the pitch, placed the ball away to take the lead.

Second half came about and Talbot looked like they got a kick up the arse and they came out stronger. They pushed forward and delivered the ball to their striker (who was buzzing I might add), and he struck the ball sweetly and if it wasn't for our keeper pulling off a worldie save onto the post, it would have been 2-2. At 2-1 though, we kept pressing and after a slightly dubious decision to award a penalty our way for handball, Andy Morris confidently placed the ball home. A little slack by us gave Talbot some space and they got one back. The game was tense but after a mistake from Talbots CB, Andy Morris pounced and from the halfway line ran towards goal and powered the ball home. Now at 4-2, the second half seemed to go on for ages. We slacked off again and their striker scissor kicked the ball home off the post. it finished 4-3 and I have to wonder why Talbot are where they are in the league. A strong bunch of lads. Cut out the defemsive errors and they would be a strong contender for next season.

MoM - Andy Morris (mainly for being on time) :-)

LKS 8 Global 2

Disappointed with the way we finished the game. Turning up with a bare 11 and playing a couple out of position we went 1-0 and held our own against a very good side. We conceded a silly penalty for a push in the box from which they scored. Had a good chance to go 2-1 up but pleased to go in 1-1 at half time, limiting them to balls over the top which we generally dealt with.
Second half LKS upped their game and we lost some shape with them going 4-1 up. We took a chance in the second half to get it back to 4-2 but then completely fell apart. Tired legs and taking off one of our midfielders through injury (luckily we had a sub turn up) saw us struggling to get a foot in the game and conceded 4 in the last 15 minutes or so.

Proud of the lads today for the first half performance. Even their lads commented on their surprise that the game ended as it did.

Global goals from Chris Beck & Neil Rao

SPARTA MOSHDOCK 9-1 Thurmaston
Aaron Preston x 5
Mason Hirst x 2
Mark Graham
Nolly Preston

It was back to the league after weeks and weeks of cup fixtures and it was important for us to get a result after how we left the league situation.

Thurmaston turned up with a bare 11 but fair play to them they never stopped. We were once again really clinical in front of goal. A much needed three points to us. Well reffed by Keith Smith.

Back to the cup next week with a difficult County Cup game v Creation Builders.

Countesthorpe Athletic 0 v 2 FC Pochin

Emerson Black-Chambers
Aran Leacock

Hard fought win today against a side who were unrecognisable from the one we beat 8-1 in the 1st game of the season.

Poor 1st half from us with a few of the lads regretting the decision to stop off at The Foxhunter on the way to partake in the 'as much as you can eat breakfast'...

Whilst we dominated play it took til about the 70th minute to score. A mazey run, megs and shot from Joe Tailby could only be parried by the unlucky keeper and young Emerson was in the right place to score with his 1st touch after coming on.

Azza got the goal his good shift deserved 5 minutes later and we just saw the game out from there.

I reckon Countesthorpe will start climbing this division now - they've got a quality keeper, an excellent lad in centre mid and Jordan and his mate up front are a real handful. They don't mind getting stuck in aswel, thought their whole defence made some great last ditch tackles.

Good luck for the rest of the season and cheers for the food down the pub

countesthorpe 0 fc pochin 2
probably our worst 45mins of the season so far in the first half
but we battled away and eventually broke them down
good to see emmo and azza scoring, both needing to get on the score sheet after a few unlucky weeks
the countesthorpe lads were well up for this game and their keeper pulled off some great saves
so all in all happy with the 3 points
and blackie and his defense kept another clean sheet so that will keep him happy for another week

CSKA 1 - 2 QPR.
Really proud of the team yesterday, took a last minute winner from QPR to put them through when I think everyone was preparing for extra time. I think QPR would admit a draw after 90 minutes would have been fair, however it wasn't to be. Still, it was more important for us to put in a good display as the cup isn't a priority. Hopefully we can take some confidence and form into the league.

Congrats to QPR, a good bunch, best of luck in the next round.

Oak 1-7 huncote

Very disappointing performance yesterday. Think yesterday showed up how thin our squad actually is but we will hopefully look to rectify that in the coming weeks.

Congrats to huncote on a huge win for them and thoroughly deserved the 3 points. We were poor all over the pitch and had some very shambolic defending to go with it!

We went 1-0 up aswell and were denied a clear penalty in the first half that even the Huncote spectators were giggling that they had got away with it. But the same offence occured over the oitch and the ref didnt mind blowing up for theose .

Well done though to huncote. Now makes the title chase a little more interesting but in all honesty that scoreline had heen coming for a few weeks now. We hope to have a few back for our next game though to kick on

We had a few chance we should have put away and this kept CSKA's tails up. Bit of a bad goal to concede as pin balled a bit. I think we were prepared for extra time but a good individual goal from Sim got us the win.

I was very impressed with the football you boys played and kept trying to play all game as also surprised you boys are bottom of the alliance when playing football the way you did.

Really good bunch of lads and hopefully you can take a lot of positives from your performance! Also saw a few of your lads at the end really gutted and this is good to see for the team as it meant something to them.

Hope you can now start picking up some results Smile
