Why are the Alliance colours orange and black.

Shortly after the league first started in 1972, we decided to have a rep team and we splashed out on a new kit.

We looked at all the brochures and on the basis of colour only decided to go for the kit used by Jakarta (capital of Indonesia). Having decided on orange shirts and black shorts, everything else had to fall in line and the previous dark blue for printing, etc fell by the wayside.

I believe the kit was supplied by Admiral - the track suits certainly were. We had one stolen and we were hoping a new set would be needed but the insurers managed to find a replacement.
