Holmes Park,,,are our finals in danger

with two games already played this week on Holmes Park,,,the u18 rep side has been moved to brockington and the vets final tomorrow has been cancelled,,,two more games to be played on it midweek before next friday,,,,,,what are the chances of teh plug being pulled to protect the pitch for more county finals

We had a few lads at the u18s final watching an said the pitch ended in good order, I suppose much depends in the weather!

That is always a possibility - I have asked County FA to let me have some reserve dates for postponed finals - as happened last season

We will be so gutted if our final gets called off on Wednesday!!

That decision is outside of Alliance control

the fosters cup is definitely in danger, ive heard its going to be like guy fawkes night in there on friday night if the game goes ahead

I work @ Holmes park and after speaking to the groundsman today, its not looking good.

Which games aren't looking good weds or fri?

If this is done, then i would find it disgraceful.

As we all have to pay higher and higher affiliation fees, insurance fees, fines etc etc and we are essentially the lifeblood of local football, if our finals were to be called off, i personally would find it even more galling next season when i have to pay our affiliation fee

Fair comment I never really thought about it but essentially our affiliation fees are as good as anyone else's... Seems wrong then to be treated any differently / moved about to accommodate others
