| I've seen a lot of football from alliance leagues over the years and I have to say the standard this season is immense. I've been following Star and Garter over the last couple of weeks with my Dad (and dog) and last week saw them against a division six side in the cup who I thought were the better team in the first half. They had a couple of players who looked good. I think the whole of Star and Garter's squad play Saturday league football. This weekend I'm hoping to catch some division 3 football but on a whole credit where credits due and well done to the managers and players for making the leagues what they are. Brilliant standard. Paul. | |

Agree with you on the above, i watch games when not playing and obviously see the games that i play in. Some of the players on show are immense and you just wonder why they didnt make it to a higher standard and get paid to play (alcohol usually!!). But the organisation of the league has led to well organised teams on the whole which leads to better quality of players willing to play.

- Division 5 this season has 7 centre forwards that would not look out of place in the prem;
Aran 'Azza' Leacock (FC Pochin) Kev Jones (Monsell WMC) Will Gonga (Leicester Bharat Talbot) Mark Gifford (Humberstone 2000) Nathan Rutter (Niffy Rangers Reserves) Dan Mitchell (Wigston Rangers) Danny McNulty (Clarendon Park Rangers) Prem standard? Of the ones I have seen I don't think any are that good. i suppose brad downing is? Brad Downing isn't a striker. He plays centre back Saturdays. He is meant to be centre back but plays further up field than the front 2! Definitely prem standard though!

there isnt much between them, both are quality, and compliment each others game. they'll both be on the top scorers list come the end of the season

| Gk- niffy res keeper, looked quality against us ( could easily have chosen wade but no point in filling it with talbot players) Rb- pochin lad, looked a steady player against us Cb- blackie, good organiser, always enjoy playing against him Cb- monsells captain, big lad who wins a lot of headers Lb- Yella of course, lol Rm- tom Reid, most loveable nob head I know, lol Cm- Gifford, good all round player that you don't want to give a sight of goal Cm- Dwayne Blackburn- getting on but still a top player Lm- will Gonga, quality lad with quick feet St- Kev jones, goal record speaks for itself St- azza, same as above
Although there is still teams we haven't played (hence no LDA players)

| Looking forward to playing against Yella on Sunday. Dwayne is very good, always causes us problems. Cole - your lack of mentions is nothing to do with injury | |

Cole - your lack of mentions is nothing to do with injury do you know Yella or are you just going from what's been said on here? Should be a good game, genuinely have no idea which way it will go. Dwayne's still quality mate, be interesting to see how he and brad handle each other (I'm assuming brad plays midfield)
