Good win today against Birstall, they put us under the pressure from the first minute - keeping us penned in own own half, didn't help going down to 10 for the last 20 mins after using all our subs - decent battle against a good set of lads! goals: Nick Coupland (P) Brad Downing Mark Green
Well reffed by Will Robinson (I think)

The abandonment of St Marks v Hat & Beaver is now a County FA matter and should not be discussed here because it may prejudice action and any decisions.

| Cska Carnaby Reserves 0 - 1 Wigston Fields 2012 FC
Goal Scorer: Nathan Patrick (penalty)
A great defensive display again by Wigston, back four solid and calm under pressure. Nathan patrick sores the decisive goal from the penalty spot hitting the under side of the bar and going in mid way through the first half. Before that nathan had scored, but the ball hit the wheel inside the goal and come back out which the referee deemed to have hit the post. After that Wigston attacked strong creating half chances. Then carnaby reserves failed to clear a corner, Chris Weston picked up the ball and rounded a player to which he was brought down in the area and the penalty was given. Carnaby's rarely threaded, and In the second half luke Allen had a goal disallowed for offside, which seemed dubious. A sour note in the game was the dismissal of a carnaby player for persistent reckless tackling and dangerous play. The player was lucky not to have been sent off before he was 3/4 into the game. Wigston saw out the game after that comfortably and continue to grow in confidence. Credit to the opposition they worked hard and played well in spells, but a player refusing to shake one of our players hands and instead hitting him was a low point. Other than those two players every other cska player played there part in giving us a good game.

| Monsell 12-1 Wigston Rangers
Its no secret that we are struggling, today really emphasised, started the game with 9 men, one limped off after 30 minutes and we battled hard with 8 men. 8-1 down at half time and lost 12-1 in the end. I am proud of the lads that did show up and just hoping that our injury crisis ends soon. But when you have me playing as a centre back for the entirety of the second half you are probably not gonna win many games. Fair play to Monsell they were relentless and made the most of a chance to boost their goal difference, I am not sure anyone in this division will be good enough to stop them grabbing the title.

Good run out today and got a deserved win. Could quite easily of hit double figures today but still not as clinical as we should be. Hope ur player who went off after the clash of heads is ok and wasn't too serious. Both players went for the ball but did look nasty from where I was. We were quickly out the blocks today with centre back John Byrne putting a long hopeful cross from about 40 yards out into the danger zone only to find it sailing into the net! Jammy sod! Plough then hit back quickly with a debatable offside call but went ploughs way and we we pegged back. Chris dexter then smashed us infront with an absolute screamer to Mark a perfect debut! Captain for the day, Tom Scott then scored a brace both from close range to send us through to the next round. 2nd half was very slow but as the game was in effect, over we were just going through the paces, but still creating chances.
Good luck to the plough who are cracking lads and hope u do alright this year in ur division! Roll on our trip out in the sticks next week!

Sporting birstall not at their best today, but have to say cfa deserved the win. They are the best team we have played this year by a long way, play very attractive football and their fitness levels are very high and work very hard as a team. Defiantly in the wrong division, would cause teams in div 6 or 5 plenty of problems. All the best to cfa for the rest of the season.

Really good game of football today, alot of moaning by both teams lol. We played really well today and were let down by defensive lapses in the first half. Poachin took the lead and it was 3-2 to them at half time. We then went 4-2 down due to a goalkeeping error witch is very rare and just one of those things. We plugged away and snatched 3 goals in 10 mins. We defended really well in the second half and got the deserved victory. Poachin are a good team with a striker front that is lethal if he gets a chance.

Very poor 2nd hald for us today, had the game won at 4-2 up and should have closed it out - however fair play to Mivan who definitely wanted it more and deserved the win.
Taking the positives, 3 class finishes from us and at least it wasn't a league game. Also if it helps us to avoid playing Wednesday, Friday and Sunday's come next May then it might be a blessing.
Good luck to Mivan in the next round and the league - good bunch of lads

Great performance from the admiral today.Never gave the harrow a look in from the off and think they had their 1st shot after 80mins.We played really well as a unit today, goals coming from all over the pitch and from both subs too.Looked solid throughout and were never in danger of not goin through to the next round.Had 12/13 players today who deserved a start and hard to leave them on the bench but thats what having a good squad means and can only be good for the club in the long run. 3 wins in a row and looking forward to the next game.Willows had a great game without getting on the scoresheet and has looked a new player in recent weeks. Best of luck to the harrow, they seemed short of confidence today but have some decent players and really hope they have a good season.Really good bunch of lads and wish them all the best!!!!

| Nipped down to watch the Pochin v Mivan game today and I wasn't disappointed with what I saw, it was a very entertaining game and very evenly matched, will be making sure I see more of these two teams throughout the season.
The way the game started I thought Mivan was going to be in for a tough ride because they couldn't seem to control their striker, who had a good game. Mivan went 1 down but never let their heads drop, and quickly soon equalized with a good finish. Pochin took the lead again but again it was short lived as Mivan levelled shortly after, before Pochin went in at the break3-2 ahead.
The second half started quite slow but soon burst into life when Mivans keeper made a mistake to put Pochin 4-2 up, this seem to fire Mivan up for a comeback, especially the tall white lad (who was playing attacking midfield I think) he really came to life and had a storming game. Great comeback and a thoroughly entertaining match. The ref looked like she had a pretty decent game aswell.
Best of luck to both teams for the remainder of the season and I will look forward to seeing you both in action again.

| polska 3 Magna 2 reffed Magna in the summer and feared the worst for them, but plenty of new faces in the side and they will be ok. we were pretty comfortable for first 30 minutes, went 1-0 up and great to see Lukasz score his first of the season (and first goal since April). Then they came back into it, equalised with 8 minutes to go before HT, our keeper got injured in the process and had to be replaced. They started the second half brighter and went 2-1 up. Then we bought Karol on and he changed the game (manager got the team selection wrong although to be fair we didn't think he was available this week . Gave us some much needed energy and spirit and set up a goal within 3 minutes. Then we scored again and were buzzing - 2 goals in 5 minutes gave us the confidence. But then we failed to press on and in the end had to defend strongly as Magna peppered our box with crosses and set pieces. Good lads and possibly deserved a point but we can play better and hopefully will next week. | |

For our game against Thurmaston a total of 4 players were away. Then on the Saturday afternoon 1 got injured playing cricket!! and another 2 playing Saturday afternoon football and 1 had the flu. Making 7 players left What was our manager to do A) spend all saturday night ringng round in an attempt to find 4/5 players who may/may not turn up or B) call the game off early and not waste everyones time by turning up with 8 players on Sunday morning C) play ringers (never) We are not scared of anyone and we will compete with any team when full strength as proven today

| Blaby united Sunday fc vs Dukla.
Went 2-0 down in the first half and we(Blaby) had very few shots and didn't look like we were going to threaten the opposition at all. But as we do quite often we can back Arron in the second half, our striker getting a neat finish to make it 2-1 and then our sub equalising with only 10 minutes to go. Dukla pushed for the winner and 2 of our defenders and our defensive mid including myself picked up injuries but battles on. Our striker Andy Lapworth then caught Dukla on the brake and then 3 mind later completed his hatrick. Superb second half performance from us. Game was played in the right spirit mosty but one certain individual for Dukla calling everyone a c*!? . We had previously discussed that we would join them for a drink in tere local afterwards but we decided against this as the majority of their team refused to shake hands ad walked off at the end of the game some of them just staring at us when offered a hand shake. Not good to see unsporting behaviour. Attitudes and their fitness levels makes it easy to understand why they are bottom of Div 6

Our players all sign a contract saying that they will conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times, and we take action against any player in breach of these rules.
Needless to say, everyone from the club wants to move away from this incident and hopefully next week there will be only be posts about our club on this forum for the right reasons.

We then went back ahead (probably against the run of play) before Bowden again equalised to force the game into extra time. We scored a penalty in the first few minutes of ET (which was followed by a Bowden player being dismissed for abusive language at the ref). They brought their keeper up for a free kick towards the end of the game, with which we countered and put the game at 5-3, before scoring again to put the final nail in the coffin.
Goalscorers: Lewis Grainger, Kyle McBurney, Sam Currall, Josh Armsden (pen), Kenny Crowther, Josh Staniforth.
Well played by Bowden, they never gave up and were very dignified in defeat. Good luck for the rest of the season

| NPE 2-1 Superfly
What a superb game to be involved in! Just a shame that the result didn't go our way.
We were missing 2 of our usual 3 centre halves, so we had to go 4-4-2. To be honest, we looked a little disorganised, NPE's midfield had more of the ball and I don't think we won one second ball. We looked like fishes out of water lol.
NPE took the lead after a mix up at the back and young Wilksy slotted it hard and low past me for 1-0. (Are you sure that keeper is your centre half? He made a couple of great saves!) One of said saves was after about 5 mins when our guy was one on one and he pushed it over with a great save. Frustration grew for us and we were creating chances that we were putting off target or the keeper was saving and we went in 1-0 down at half time.
We knew we could get at them and in the second half, we started passing the ball better and we looked like the Superfly that I know. With that came creating chances and we did manage to equalise for 1-1.
We continued to pass it and just before NPE's winner, we hit the post, Jay dinked the ball over the keeper and I heard the unsatisfying clink of the post, before their keeper fell on the ball and smothered it. In the next couple of minutes NPE got their winner, a curling 20 yard shot from outside the area which also clinked the post and nestled in the opoosite corner with me rooted to the spot. A great game, ended with a great goal, just a shame it didn't go our way. All the best to NPE in the next round.
