Have a team now that would have been a red faced moment - wednesday night football called off due to lack of players!

| red card for huncote full back, swore at lino, booked, swore again...off... Thought huncote were better team for first twenty then after first goal heads went, tom hill grew into the game and took them apart. Quality player mr hill | |

| Not going to say too much, but Well done to Saff, best side we have played all year by a long way You can only beat what is put in front of you each week, but we still dont agree with the LSL/Alliance two teams rule. Fair play to Saff if they can bring in players like Lee/Tom (and a fair few others too) to play when they can and still keep the others happy to see the season out they deserve some credit. Must be difficult to manage Thought we did alright, if we could have held out till half time it might have been different. But our heads went after they equalised and the second came too quickly. First 35 mins was ok tho. Two defeats on the bounce mean we need to show "bounce-back-ability" (Dykey words of wisdom in the changing rooms) massive test for us against MDH on Sunday now Going to try and forget about last night now!!! | |

| as i said on another post, virtually impossible to manage if a rule was brought in to eliminate players playing for 2 leagues. think this one will rumble on, but let's face it we'd all do it i guess if we had the opportunity. the only thing i know is that when Tom played against us and signed on that morning, it was simply because they were short of a few players rather than lobbing someone else out the team | |

| Thank you polska!! Someone who actually sees the situation for what it is!!! Not one person was dropped from our side to accomodate tom and lee as we didn't have matt rudkin, ash or dunks last night from the team that played on sunday so they just slotted into there positions!! Lee and tom will only play when needed!! As for huncote second saying we have numerous others to call on well that's just not true all other people who play are actually are regular players they just interchange a lot cos they are always wrecked haha and polska you are right ryan allen does bag for fun, 16 this season from left wing, 13 from wing in prem last season and 30 from the wing in lsl prem season before. | |

| Think this debate could be the downfall of WNF. NRI lost to Reem, which I know that if they had played on a Sunday it would of been a different result. Bulls Head would of never got that team out against Magna had it been on a Sunday morning and now this Saffron Lounge Match.. Why would teams want to play a stronger side then they would on a Sunday morning and possibly lose valuable points? | |

| I really can not see what the issue is here as many of the top sunday sides across the leagues have signed players from other leicestershire leagues. for a club like the saff to have these players on there books, is by far better than to play so called ringers as many teams seem to do. teams such as theses have done nothing wrong with in the laws of the county fa in this case surely two players dont make a team ??. sounds to me the huncote side was beaten before the game kicked off | |

| Its allowed, but only the teams that are signing these players seem happy, everybody else isn't, especially the opposition who will have to face a team with far better players than they had, particulary when they play on Sundays, but again its allowed, so theres nothing anyone can do about it, except have a good moan, and maybe the rules might get amended one day, its like lets say i start my own team "Hellboys UTD", and then after a few months some players let me down, ive got no choice but to sign on new players, otherwise my team would fold, then other people would start moaning about my new signings its a catch 22 situation, what else can you do?
Its not their fault for signing anybody on, but it doesn't help if you are on the opposing side, and i totally sympathise with that.

| Good game last night I can see why huncote feel hard done by as they are obviously a good bunch of organised lads who get the same team most weeks and turned up last night to play us last night with us having a strong team out. But I can say that only lee Barret and Tom hill were the only two non- regulars last night they are both signed on and play when available the reason we can accommodate them without upsetting any other players is because we only scrape 11 every week, we have 6-7 players every week then the rest of the side is made up from any of the other 20+ signed on , I'm sure we are not the only team in this situation???? Anyway wish huncote the best for the rest of the season great bunch of lads | |

This rule also applys to saturday football and the higher the tier of saturday football you then can loan players out . what is your view on loaned players ?? is it not the same in a round about way . myself i think loaned players would stop a lot of football clubs folding on sundays . just my thoughts

Not having a go Dezza, dont and cant fault what your lads did last night, and I wish you all the best for the rest of the season. Understand the rules, was just pointing out it must be a nightmare to manage, on the other hand, and i know what this is like some times it falls right the 11 you have are the 11 you go with

why would NRI have necessarily beaten Reem Team on a Sunday? Think Reem Team use the same set of players each game? We wouldnt necessarily beat them, they are a very good team, but i am led to believe by a very reliable source that they had two Aylestone Park lads turn out for them that dont normally...that said, i was bloody dire and would have conceded six against a Steven Hawkins select eleven that day!! Maybe to prevent this problem, players have to play for 50% or 60% of their clubs games to qualify for WNF? Thats easy to administer and would stop any future problems? And if teams struggle to tget a squad of 14 turn up each week then dont apply for WNF? Just a suggestion......
