We played well today hence the scoreline, hit the woodwork 4 times and there goalkeeper had some saves to make. could easily have been 15-20. Was like the alamo at times for them and there goal was a goalkeeping howler

3rd time ive been this season and the 3rd win

Hood Park lost 7-0 today. We were unlucky in the last minute to see a goalbound shot stop on the line due to the boggy conditions, and then Anstey Hounds went up the other end and scored the 7th.

Things are getting better for Hood Park, we have seen a gradual improvement over the last 5 or 6 weeks and the effort and commitment of the lads has never been in question. We're aiming for at least 5 wins this season as a revised target. We now have 3 decent goalies who (sort of) rotate depending on availability. Massive plus point because GK was our main problem earlier on this season...

Good win today, Fosse City are a good bunch of lads and I apologise for the sillyness from one of my boys in particular. felt like we had another gear if we needed it. Bring on the County Cup, anyone know about Loughborough Saints Res. ? Top of Charnwood 3, what's the standard like??

Think your probably right in saying you had an extra gear, although on the balance of play and chances 6-1 may have flattered you slightly. Very disappointing for us that we could only muster a bare 11 including the gaffer at left back and myself at centre back, when we have a squad of about 25!

Im gonna raise the issue of the 3G pitch again, it just feels too much like a training session on there, plus the overhead cables are a nightmare, but today i cant even use that as an excuse, we were just crap again.

Not sure why your lad went so mental in near enough the last minute of the game! however it was a nice bit of comedy to end an awful game for us, which was nice Good luck in the next round!

nothing wrong with the 3g pitch being used but i do think that the wires across the pitch should be addressed, i did a university game at judge meadow and they have two wires across the pitch so a net can be drawn across and split pitch into three for smaller games. the ball hit these wires 9 times, for me 9 times to many. 9 dropballs not needed, when an offside is given and the defender takes the free kick and instead of it going over the halfway line to setup an attack its ends up as a dropball a third of the way up the pitch under the wire

I don't play on Sundays any more, so definatly not sour grapes Twenty 20.

Fair play to you guys Ivan, you always come on here and be honest and dont get bitter when you lose regardless of the circumstances. Fair play to you mate, hope the season works out well for you chap...

Sporting will prove that last week wasn't a fluke and after smashing Subury for 5 today they will be even stronger than the league game against fosse in my eyes!

Calmed down now.

Must say, very impressed with Kai and Zach Smith from Beaumont Athletic, ran things for them. Well Done to Beaumont, deserved it fully, we were very poor, and they could have scored more if it wasnt for our keeper.
