A very competitive game, ruing a lot of our missed chances, their keeper made some great saves as well - especially 2 minutes in when he saved a deflected effort. Behind 2-1 at half time and rallied to be leading 3-2 early in the second half. However, the missed chances really came back to bite us and they put their chances as well with some tidy finishes.

| White horse wanderers 6-1 glenfield Scott lyons x3 Hayden hawes Conner sheffield John willows
We controlled the game from the off and very rarely got troubled by glenfield. I thought we were awesome today with a different formation the lads took to it really well it really makes a difference having a keeper back from injury and not playing our center back in goal. Top stuff from all the lads today topped off by a absolute 30 screamer by john willows who had only been on the pitch 10 mins he controlled well flicked it over a defender and smashed it on the volley into the top corner leaving the keeper no chance. Like i said excellent team performance and about time too lets hope we can carry it on #upthehorse

| Sileby Athletic 1 - 2 Fosse City
A number of players missing yesterday, we didn't even have one striker available and only 1 sub. Felt comfortable all game we just couldn't stick the ball in the net. Silly mistake at the end to throw the game away.
Fair play to the Fosse lads they knock the ball around nicely and are a good bunch of lads. Just a shame we couldn't make a statement and show the league what we're all about. I believe there were some league decision makers watching our game and I'm sure we wont be playing in division 2 or 3 next season.

| Yeah carrying on from "Safc_Pothunter" post, couldn't really elaborate more. We was comfortable for a large part of the game, but Fosse took there chances at the end and punished us. Ended up having to play a 4-6-0 without a striker - which was down to injuries but would of liked to of been there with a 14 man strong side, Felt we needed a couple of subs to give us fresh legs. One of the defenders made a ridiculous block and the keeper made a save that was good enough to win any game, so fair play to them.
Still in 2 other cups, massive tie vs Leicester Foxes now in the EW, just a shame one of us has to go out in the Quarter finals.

We have a semi final next week I think so hopefully a final isn't too far away.

| Oak 4-6 Monsell
Frustrating day yesterday turning up with bare bones, just the 29 that didn't bother to turn up! Had to play our goalkeeper of the last two seasons up front due to numbers but fair play to him as he put a shift in! We found ourselves 3-0 down at half time with Monsell only having 4 or 5 shots but they were just so clinical, with a little help from our defenders who gifted them a couple. We had plenty of corners and possession in their half but just missing that piece of luck, but Monsell were so quick on the break and made it 5-0 shortly after half time. We managed to get into the game with a penalty through Dan Maxwell. Coming back to lose just 6-4 showed some guts and spirit that has been lacking in past weeks. But who can blame the lads having had to play Mowmacre and then Azzuri, its been tough to just get a side motivated enough to get out of bed. It was a shame to see Monsell constantly barracking the referee and the linesman over every single decision that went against them. It was good to see a strong ref who also liked a bit of banter. It was just a shame the Monsell lads just wanted to complain every time. There was a few meaty challenges flying in from both sides but our lot weren't heard complaining when we were on the receiving end.
Good luck to the Monsell lads though im sure they will have a good end to the season and see themselves promoted.

| Fair assessment from both of you. Both teams tried to play football on what turned into a difficult pitch. Think until we took the lead both teams were probably feeling pretty comfortable as neither of us really threatened to score (disallowed goal aside). Game obviously opened up once you threw some players forward.
We were extremely happy to come away with the win because we were poor by our standards on the day, I think that was as much down to the numbers Sileby had in the middle of the pitch as anything else. They picked up 80% of the loose balls and we struggled to put anywhere near enough passes together other than along the backline.
Sileby probably a touch unlucky to go out on the day but we'll obviously take any win. All the best for the rest of the season.

| Vale 3-1 Suecastle
This was a big game for both sides and Vale certainly got out of the blocks alot quicker than ourselves. They played to their strengths and we were second to everything in the first half. There weren't many clear cut chances but Vale deservedly lead 1-0 at the break.
The second half was a completely different story. We came into the game and equalised early through Jack Hirst. The Vale goalkeeper made a fantastic save at close range not long later and we managed to have a spell marginally on top for the first time in the match. The second half was a tight affair and it took a quality finish to break the deadlock in favour of the home side. A scrappy goal with minutes to go all but killed the game and Vale left the victors.
Thanks to the Vale lads and to referee Gary Lord who controlled the game brilliantly and had a laugh with us at the same time.

A big win for Spinney. Controlled the game and a hattrick from Jouel Potter killed off the visitors. United Revolution next.
