Suecastle 1 - 2 Wigston Fields

Mark Allen
Stef Kuzyk

A third win in a row for the new manager to keep Wigston in the race for promotion. Fields started slowly and suecastle played well for the first part of the game but It was fields who opened the scoring through mark Allen when a Callum Marvin long freekick deflected onto the defender from the keepers attempted clearance for mark Allen to poke home. Mark almost doubled his tally when he was found inch perfect cross but his shot just missed the target. 1-0 at half time. Into the second half and suecastle came out battling and equalised when their player skipped through the fields defence and curled the ball home from inside the area. Wigston then stepped it up and regained the lead when mark Allen fed Stef Kuzyk in the area to calmly slot past the keeper. Mark Allen's long range shot hit the bar and went over. Fields defended well and saw it out to gain another three points.

Blaby 1 - 2 CSKA.
Steady start, we went up, then played really well till half time, desptite conceding an equaliser just before half time . 2nd half was a real battle and we were under a bit of pressure. We countered and created a couple of chances, then nicked it with 5 mins to go.

Deserved for the improvement we've made over the last 3 matches, nice first win for Christmas too!!

Enness 4 - 3 Huncote

What a game!! Top of the table clash!!

Was always gonna be a tough one for us today, especially being 4 key players down.

As we started the game, you could tell Huncote wanted it. Closing us down and showed some want. We were awarded a penalty which we didn't make the best of and their keeper saved. 5 mins on and we countered from a corner and Liam slotted home. They had a couple of chances and our keeper had to make a few saves to keep us 1-0 up at half time.

Second half and both teams came out wanting it. We switched on as our passing play became a big part of our play. Within no time at all, a sweet strike from Alex, and another two from Liam made it 4-0. At this point we became our own worst enemy and we became tense. They clawed one back with 20 minutes to go. They won a free kick 20 yards out and they put that home off the post. 1 minute to go and they scrappily got a third.

We held out till the end and won a massive 3 points!!

MoM :- shared between Liam Davies and Michael Clements

And just to add, Huncote came back so well today. 4-0 down, most teams would give up.

Fair play to em

White Horse Wanderers 3 Wigston Plough Rovers 5

For the 3rd week in a row WPR went a goal down, but almost instantly replied, going a further 2 - 1 down before a cracking come back, taking WPR 3 - 2 up at the break, making it 4 - 2 midway through the second half, credit to White Horse, they kept fighting and pulled a goal back taking it to 4 - 3 before WPR finished off the game with an outstanding goal. 6 unbeaten now for us and a good way to end 2013, well played everyone!

Friar Lane 4-4 Global. Global win 4-3 on penalties.

Great come back by us after being 2-0 at half time. We were never in front but deservedly kept getting back level after we'd go behind. Cracking display from our keeper in the shoot out saving 2.

Scorers - Carl Waring 2, John Snashall pen, Chris Beck.
Global pens John Snashall, Jack Farmer, Chris Beck, Carl Waring.

FC Pochin 5 v 0 Harrow Emerald

Joe Tailby 2
Ricardo Gomez
Jordan Cunningham
Marc Blackwell

Excellent 1st half for us playing good football and going in 4-0 up with some clinical finishing.

Rio with a left foot volley after good work from Jordan, man of the match Joe Tailby finishing off another fine move, Jordan with a great header from a great cross and Marc Blackwell with the best goal of the game (obviously)  Very Happy

2nd half we were quite lacklustre but cant complain with a 5-0 win and another clean sheet against a good team who came into the match unbeaten in their previous 11 games.

Good luck to the Harrow lads for the rest of the season and cheers for the top food down the pub after the game

Thurmaston 0 - 10 SPARTA MOSHDOCK
Aaron Preston x 3
Jake Wain x 3
Callum Earls x 2
Lee Tyers
Josh Richards

As comfortable as it sounds really. They matches us for quite a bit if the first half and both sides had several chances to score. We then got a breakthrough and made it 3-0 by half time.

We had the slope and wind second half and it told with us really putting our foot on the gas and taking our chances. Having said that we missed a few and it could have been 12.

Fair play to the Thurmaston boys, they played the majority of the game (expect one coming together over a tackle, although it was forgotten after the whistle) with a smile on their face and, except the last 15mins, never gave up. Really hope they can sort their problems out and see some improvement.

A mention to Keith Smith who reffed the game well and very sensibly.

We had 16 there today and with 3 injured our squad is looking in good shape, just got to keep it together now and push on in the new year.

Happy Xmas and New Year from all at Moshdock.

MJR 2-6 INTER MIVAN

Great result for the lads !! ... nice way to end 2014. we played some lovely football on a poor pitch.
Both teams started well, first 20 mins even, then after our first goal we never looked back. Looked dangerous most times we attacked. MJR still a big threat via set pieces and long throws but we defended them brilliantly.
2-0 at half time i think, sorry if wrong, sunday morning blues !!
Second half we did not let up, and scored a few more, with MJR grabbing a couple of late ones in reply.
Great game, played in great spirit (barring our first ever red card - duely deservsed too, wreckless challange, luckily no injury caused). And also thanks for the bibs MJR (bit of a kit clash).
Good luck MJR for rest of season.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL..  santa  !!
PS. SUAREZ IS KING !!
