County cup draw

Anyone no when it is or if its been drawn yet?

I would not expect the draw to be published until the Preliminary Round Matches have been completed this coming weekend.

The results of those games will determine potential pitch shares for Round 1 which will need to be sorted.

There are no Alliance teams involved in the Preliminary Round.

The second round will be drawn when those games are completed.

I am sure James will arrange for the EW Foster Cup and Stokes Cup draw in the near future to enable the Round 1 games to be scheduled.

The Arthur Moore Cup is again conducted initially on a Group basis and the early scheduled games are also on the website

Hope we get Ratby Rovers of the LSL, they are already 31 goals against after 2 games

I heard some Div 2 teams have been put in the Div 1 pot! I remain to see whether that is true or not...

the draw was done last week, wont be confirmed until they sort out pitch clashes

I see Niffy A have been drawn against NPE again, having just been knocked out of the Billy Walton by them.

Defo, I suppose they had to merge somewhere as there would be even worse off teams in the lower leagues. For example Div 7 sides having to play Div 3 upwards.

I bet the Div 2 sides are not over the moon by this but unless the county made some more cups up it looks like they didn't have much choice in the matter.

They drew 4-4 with Thurmaston WMP09 from Division 1 although in a preseason friendly, watched them for about 20 mins, thurmo were winning 1-0 and good for it, been assured though by Greedy that they are a decent outfit

Sunday Premier Cup - Premier Divisions of Alliance, Leicester, Hinckley, Charnwood
Sunday Intermediate - D1 and D2 Alliance, D1 of rest
Sunday Shield - D3 and D4 of Alliance, D2 of rest
Sunday Trophy - D5 and D6 0f Alliance, D3 of rest
Sunday Vase - D7 of Alliance, D4 of rest

Scatter Melton Sunday, add the teams who play outside of the County Leagues, shake and draw.

I think the only exception as far as we are concerned is with NRI Reserves (D4) who are placed down to the Trophy because their first team (D3) is already in the Shield.
