| Leicester Foxes have decided to resign with immediate effect
Their playing record will be expunged and the remaining fixtures are postponed
Of course that disrupts the Premier table
Frustrating - you bet, but no doubt you will have your own thoughts

| Surely the remaining fixtures of foxes should see the opposition take the points. Thats done us out of our chance for the league now | |

| that's a common thought - but to be fair it's how you've done against the other 6 sides compared to S&G that will ultimately determine the league | |

| frustrating is a massive understatement theve been messing teams and the league about all season, breaking fixtures and getting away with it by using the pitch provider as an excuse.to leave it this late says it all about their lack of respect for anyone. they were happy to romp the league last season as they disbanded and reformed ....lets hope the league rejects any future applications from their "management team" i know the rules and realise our season is finished now as we now cannot catch star and garter due to the fact that foxes beat them. it also pains me when i think of the expense teams have thrown down the drain playing them!!last week we hosted em at our place with pitch and ref & lino cost it was well over £100......

Thing is Mark we had worked ourselves back into a position were as if we won all our remaining fixtures we would of won the league. Atleast handing the win to there opposition would of kept the league competitive as its the closest the prem has seen for years instead just killing it dead. This is all based on probability but atleast it was in our own hands and now its taken away. Making the remainder of the league season pointless....

| F.A rules are that if a team has played 75% or over of their games the remaining fixtures are awarded as wins to their opponents (This happened with Rothley in the Senior League this year)
Obviously the Alliance doesn't come under FA jurisdiction and makes their own decisions. Just thought it would be a handy benchmark.
Not sure if Foxes completed 75% of their fixtures anyway. I feel a definite rule should be in place for cases like this.

I do feel for you because Mowmacre have conducted themselves brilliantly this season both on and off the field and it must feel like a kick in the teeth but that is the pitfall of football at this level

I feel a definite rule should be in place for cases like this. it's not a rule we'd adopt because that would disadvantage teams that hadn't played them and would be awarded a win whereas some of their rival title challengers might have played them and lost but in any case Foxes had not completed anywhere near 75% of their fixtures

| How about we at Fosse also fold, taking away one of Mowmacres defeats and a victory from both Star and Mowmacre, does that leave something still to play for!? | |

but in any case Foxes had not completed anywhere near 75% of their fixtures This rule is in the FA Standard Code of Rules that all leagues adopt: In the event of a team not completing 75% of its fixtures for the season all points obtained by or recorded against such defaulting team shall be expunged from the Competition table. The rule is also in the Alliance League Rules on the website. You are correct though on your second point.

It isn't always managements fault if players are not turning up for what ever reason so to ban them would be harsh, unless they are just folding to start again to pot hunt then I totally agree with you.

| If you banned players and management from the league for 12 months teams might think twice about it. Very harsh but the only answer | |

| Unfortunately not mate. Foxes folding helped us out massively, we went from having 3 games to get through to just 1 and managed to scrape together a team. Glad the seasons over as its been a shocker. Sorry we couldn't help you out! | |
