The Alliance Football League is looking to recruit both a General Secretary and new members for its Management Committee. The Alliance is the largest adults’ football league in Leicestershire with almost half of all county Sunday football league clubs in its membership.
The General Secretary will be responsible for administering the day to day business of the league, including dealing with internal and external correspondence and administering committee and general meetings. Applicants are required to have strong administration and interpersonal skills and an interest in and empathy with grassroots football. Previous experience of football administration is preferred but not essential. An honorarium is paid for the holder of this position.
Enthusiastic volunteers are also invited to join the Management Committee. As well as attend monthly meetings, members will be required to represent the League at general meetings, cup finals and sub-committee meetings as required. Ideal candidates will be passionate about Sunday League football and have innovative ideas as to how the Alliance League can progress.
