How many Alliance games have been played

In November, 2005 someone asked how many Alliance games have been played.

Over the previous 29 seasons, excluding County Cup and Alliance Cup games (don't ask ), there have been 15,273 games played. This includes play-off games.

In 1979/80 season there were two play offs (2-2 and 3-2) between Wigston Town CC and Scarlet Pimpernel to decide the runners up spot in the Premier Division. At that time, a play off was required when two teams were equal on points only. The current rules bring goal difference and goals scored into play.
