Good win for us against an organised side. Quite surprised they're where they are in the league to be honest. Pitch didn't help either team, ref certainly didn't help Wigston. Never have I seen an indirect free kick given for a high foot in the penalty area. Should've been a penalty for them so they can feel a bit hard done to there.

Went in 2-1 up at half time and got dragged back to 2-2. We replied quickly and the Wigston lads heads seemed to drop a bit and we then went and seen the game off nicely. Guranteed to finish 2nd in the league. Been a pretty decent season for us all in all.

A high foot is usually judged by referees as 'playing in a dangerous manner' - for which an indirect free kick is the correct restart of play

Not much to say without being moderated or disciplined. The pitch was awful and completely unacceptable, apologies to the Huncote lads for that - we are going to make a formal complaint. - They still knocked it around well, we mathced them in parts of the game but found ourselves toiling in the last 25, lack of match fitness and 'one of those days' syndrome in the most part. Huncote deserved the win, but, as has been the case this season we battled well to no avail.

In which case you would expect the same nature of free kick to be taken for a high foot anywhere else on the pitch - which it wasn't, they had a shot on goal. Furthermore, high foot may be what it was judged at but it was more the kick in the head that had us more aggrieved.

Was a good game today played in the right sprit, i will miss playing Blaby next season as all our games have been enjoyable over the years.

I'm not going to go in to the performance on the pitch because wasn't nothing special.

Just want to take this opportunity to say a massive well done to the lads that did turned up you lot deserved better and shame on the lads that didn't they don't belong in a great team like vale. Just a shame for other in the team and league.

Well done again hopefully next season you find a decent group of lads that will play week in week out.

Aths 5 - 3 Chequers

Went 5-0 up then messed around gave two penalties away (Both for very dubious hand balls) and a red card. The Gaffer came on up top too.

Pretty comfortable win in the end, we can win the league against Huncote next week!

Both were stone wallers I'm afraid Pot Hunter.

Went back for a beer at the Chequers after and they put food on for us, really good hosts and the pitch was decent aswell.

Come on gaffer you know that's not true, the only people that appealed were our own team taking the p**s!

If you ever play the Chequers I recommend going back to theirs for a drink great pub!
