Anyone know anything about Barlestone St Giles from the Hinckley League?

I saw them earlier on in the season away at Thornton St. Peters - nothing special about them. Having seen you in the first round I would expect you to win by a three goal cushion.

They beat us in the last round but it was our poor performance rather than their quality that was the reason behind it. They're a young side who run all day but only have one or two players of any merit. I'd expect you to beat them as we certainly should have, we simply didn't put any chances away.

Told you a win was on the cards V Palmerstone ;-)

WPR are from LSL Div 1 (were Div 3 runners-up last year but moved up due to shrinking League, so don't let that scare you).

A step up from Palmerstone but not by much.

Very quick going forward with a very talented CM and very fast right winger.

Keeper is good and the defence is OK but can lack discipline regarding shape/line.

Again, I think you will have too much for these boys but you need to negate their threat from wide.

You did, not as good as I thought they were going to be, had one decent defender (tall ginger lad) and keeper made a few good saves, other than that not sure how they won silverware last year if that was a similar team!

Anyone ever heard of birstall Stamford? Hahaha

Had a look at Appleby Magna yesterday and looked a decent side. They have three big lads up front and knock the ball around well. With all due respect to their opponents (Edingale Swifts) they did not offer much of a challenge and it will be interesting to see them up against the likes of Albion, Birstall Stamford and Alliance sides Thurmaston and Star & Garter in the Premier Cup.

A little, they knocked us out of the competition last season. Remember us going 1 up early on and fully expecting us to put a hatful past them. Ended up losing the game 2-1, they gave it a massive hoof every time they got the ball and we couldn't handle it.

They played on a tiny pitch and everytime they got a throw in in our half they'd launch it right under the crossbar, caused mayhem. You might be ok if your pitch is a decent size!

Yeah agree with this, if you're playing them at there place get prepared to get a lot of rough tackles and head a lot of throw ins.

Won Div 4 in the Hinckley League last season and are currently top of Div 3 this season winning 7 out of 9.

Good, strong unit that have to be among the favs for the Trophy IMHO.
