| In addition to the EW Foster Cup Final we have a couple of League Fixtures
At 1.00pm White Eagles meet AFC Royal Oak in a D6 clash, whilst at 4.00pm, North Kilworth Reserves host The Plough Wigston in a D7 fixture.
With the EW Foster Cup Final kicking off at 7.00pm it should be very possible to watch all 3 games in an Alliance day out - a real Good Friday!!

| White Eagles 3-4 Royal Oak
Tod Beric (pen) Danilo Trifunovic Hemel Majithia
Started evenly and we took the lead with a penalty, no complaints from the Oak lads. From there on in, we had our backs to the wall, going up hill and against the wind. A ridiculously unlucky sliced own goal into the bottom corner drew Oak level. Fortunately, our captain from last season Michael Rice was back from university and along with Hemel, coped well the Oak front line but Oak looked most dangerous in wide positions and anything that fell on the edge of the box. Eventually Oak made it 2-1 and we went into half time fairly balanced.
Oak came out strong but it turned more into a midfield battle but we were beginning to look more of a threat going forward. Until own goal number 2, an unfortunate bullet header into the top corner made it 3-1 Oak and most of our lads heads dropped. A 4th followed and most thought it was game over at 4-1. But Danilo managed to nick one back after a great run and we began to pile the pressure on with 2/3 free kicks in good areas and Oak rarely getting out of their half. With 3 minutes to go, Hemel pulled another back and we literally threw the kitchen sink at Oak for the last remaining minutes without creating many clear cut chances and I was having to play sweeper in Oak's own half!
Luck's really not going our way at the moment, not won in the league since September and our infamous team of the month win (all went downhill after our loss at Oak back in October) and all the games we are losing are by a 1 goal margin. Have to say, Martin Dexter had a good game reffing today and some good pictures there too, thanks.

| Have to agree with you mate. Was a strange match played at friendly pace at times, possibly due to us both not playing much football lately! If I'm honest it was a poor game to watch from the sidelines. But it's job done for us, not playing anywhere near our normal standard and still managing to grind a result out. With a cup final next week and some lads playing every day at the minute due to Saturday side commitments, at 4-1 we decided to take a few lads off. And Took foot off gas! Your second goal was quality and the penalty was a stone wall decision. Ref was good today and handled the game very fairly!
Good luck for the rest of your season and am sure results will pick up! Still plenty games for you to start climbing the table

Cheers to Polska for tonights game, they put everything into it but in all honesty i thought in the first half we were a different class and really put them to the sword, they were lucky to come in only 3-0 down at half time, second half they switched it about and were more involved but i dont think we ever felt under any threat even the circumstances around their goal we felt were a little unfortunate....

| NKR 5 - 3 The Plough Wigston
Not a bad game from our side of things, I feel the pitch was better suited to our style of football more than NKR's. We went in front 3 times and at 4-3 down had a great chance to pull it back to 4-4, but never mind its another game out the way. NKR are the best team in this div and deserve to win it, well done lads and all the best for the rest of the season

| Kilworth 5-3 plough.
Gave kilworth a good battle. Even went in winning at half time 3-2. To be fair kilworth are much better side but was hard for them to play there football on a battered pitch, which suited us. Well done kilworth great lads and play decent football. Ps ref was great, let game flow.

Still plenty games for you to start climbing the table Yeah, the game wasn't the best, very scrappy and the pitches at the moment don't really help. The dynamics of the game certainly changed when Dexter went off, one more and he'd definitely have been red carded so wise decision there. For us now, we're just going to have to keep pushing until the end of the season and finish as respectably as possible and then it's another rebuilding job in the summer as we're losing another 4 to university duties.

| There were some sore heads on Saturday and some casualties that couldn't make today's game even! Thoroughly enjoyed and great to see the lads in such good spirits! Thanks to Polska and horse today and the support we had on Friday night, all much appreciated! Should make for a good stag weekend for one of the lads next weekend when we visit Budapest! | |
