Ta for the clarification. Just to confirm too, that the LSFL put ALL new teams into Div 3, with 2 other new teams Wyvern & Oadby, romping it. Toodle pip.

| Not surprised about the LK United scenario, especially after the stink that was caused on here after Shakespeare were found to be office update and pothunting (a team that finished above the current Monsell WMC in LSL last season). We'll still give them a good go, excellent opportunity for us to reach the semis. Athletic Oadby beat them 5-3 in the league and they beat us in a friendly 6-5 when we were missing several players, should be an interesting match up. If anybody has any information on the way they play it would be grateful! | |

LK United are a mash up of Office update and Vodka but still have the core of the Office update. The year we left the LSL we finished above them by 1pt in the league so know played them a lot last few years. We also lost to them this year in the county cup AET when they equalised with the last kick of the game in normal time which was annoying. If they have their full squad they have pace on the wings and are strong up front. Big lad who is physical and Daniel Concannon (think thats his name, his dad plays at the back/runs the team) both can score goals. They play very physical but if you get infront they have a tendency to argue and get frustrated. Put pressure on them at the back and keep tight to their strikers and they are def beatable.

They most certainly are a Melton Sunday League side. I am not aware of the current situation but up to a number of weeks ago they had a 100% playing record http://www.leaguewebsite.co.uk/meltondistrictsfl/LeagueNews/view/24793 They also knocked Birstall Stamford out in Round 2 The Melton Times occasionally prints a League Table, so I will keep a look out. Last year's Champions were Egerton Park - who meet Advance Couriers in the next round. I think the link previously referred to is obsolete

I think the link previously referred to is obsolete we played Egerton Park in the shield last season, a couple of handy lads going forward but were poor at the back, think we won 7-4 or something like that
