Banter for 28th February

Here it is

wigston utd 1-2 great wigston

we started off pretty slowly went 1-0 down then had blaitant penaltys turned down, after that we played sum good football, our 1st goal woz some brilliant football quick 1 touch passing that tore wigston apart, second goal woz a scrappy 1 and ball seemed lost between the players then limbert crashed it in, the third goal in the second half woz a cracking 20 yard roof of the net job by our new signing form the leics constab ryan snodin, all in alkl a good display by us and now ready to take on beaumont nxt week in the foster cup semi-final

Heard their was a bit of naughties at the Advance v GT game. Ref had a mare apparantly. Can anyone elaborate on it who went?

also at moshdock with aaron and ross getting sent off

better wake the moderators up can feel some ref bashing coming up

I watched the western athletic vs magna town semi today and the referee and linesmen were spot on great game of attacking football and the wallys winning 8-2. western totally in charge for 90 minutes and no disrepect to magna they never gave up but just didnt seem fired up for this semi. A good game to watch and very well refereed . well done danny and the boyz and well done to the glenny boyz too

cheers ginner. very happy with the result and performance today. we knew that if we gave magna too much space they would cause us problems but we got 2 early goals that really settled us down and put them on the backfoot where managed to keep them there for the whole game and played some good stuff along the way. now its between us and countesthorpe royals now for the trophy.

big thankyou to everyone at magna who were great from the minute they turned up to the minute they left the pub, and showed no signs of sour grapes and took the defeat with good style and are a credit to the alliance. all the best for the season lads.

also like to echo what ginner said about the officials today being top draw and excellently reffed by mark lever.

One off from either side, one for a professional foul (second yellow) and another for handbags (straight red). whoever told you the ref had a mare was wrong, considering conditions and the occasion then the ref did well.

My nephew plays for GT and watched from the sidelines. Said he got the penalty wrong and the sending off was harsh. Sounds a good game though

The penalty was a wrong decision(I was the player involved) but it was given by the linesman not the referee. Neither sending off was harsh, the GT one was a second yellow for chopping wheeler down when he was last man(a straight red for most refs).

Your nephew must be bob then crap game, terrible pitch, officials o.k. Nailed on peno, both sendings off spot on! 3-2 end of see you at holmes park, think its usually £3 to get in.

Heard the pitch was like a swamp!!

FC Komrska 3 Niffy A 2

after being 2-0 down with 15mins to go, Komrska managed to score 3 goals and steal all 3 points. Niffy must of thought it was there day after Komrska were woeful in front of goal but after dominating them for the entire 2nd half Jamie Wells finally scored with 15mins to go, Rajiv Ghelani got the equaliser with 5mins left and in the 90th min Alex Jelley made it 3-2. All the best for the rest of the season Niffy A!

yes you guys were a different class today! our manager said the seme as the other lad that we didnt look like we wanted it!! its a shame to lose the semi by that much but it probs could have been more!

The linesman didnt keep up with play at all yesterday, u could tell he wrnt up for it wen he ran the line in a coat hat and gloves lol (unlike the other officals). The pen was definatly a wrong decision seeing as there was no contact between me and Goodman at all. Both sending offs were deserved so no complaints there. Good game to be involved in and cant wait till we see you in the league

Cant speak highly enough of Western, great set of lads, physical but fair, and played some great football to go with it. We knew we all had to be at our very best to keep up with them and the 2 early goals killed us and we never settled down from then! shame we went out like we did but always knew Western was the toughest draw we could have, I fully expect them to beat Countesthorpe at Holmes Park! Proud of my lads for even getting to the semi and now looking for a massive response for the Stokes Cup quarter final next and expect to put things right!

Thanks again to the Western lads and the kind words from danny, hopefully be down at Holmes Park to watch you boys (unless we are playing every day that week to catch up on legue fixtures!) Oh and special mention to gilly thanks for the beer!

No I cant see our fixture being on mate. It supposed to be the Stokes Cup semi final but have not played our Quarter Final yet. As far as i am aware we have cup game this week and potentially next week if we get by Phoenix. Sure James is working hard sorting you a fixture out
