AFC Royal Oak 1-2 Little Bowden
Backing us to bag our first win of the season - will be a tough match but we have a host of players returning from absence and hopefully that freshness will see us home with 3 points.

Dulka Hillside 0-3 Sporting birstall
Not played either of these two yet so just going by the form book.

Global athletic 3-2 White Eagles
Global a much better attacking team than Eagles IMO and will claim three points here.

Red Admiral 0-2 Inter Mivan
Again, just going by the form book

LKS 1-3 Royalist
Both Barnett brothers playing regularly for Royalist will see them score a lot of goals so I am going to back the away side here.

Hat & Beaver 0-2 Aylestone ??? I dont even know if this is a fixture following the changes but these are the only teams left. Form book, can't really comment!

If you can keep Rob Barnett quiet you'll do ok, but he scored 40+ for Harborough Town last season and 80 odd the season before for his old club so won't be easy, that aside they have a couple of decent players but plenty of weaknesses!

Let your football do the talking and don't set yourself up as come Sunday u may be left to eat ur words! Was really impressed with royalist wen we played them. Really good team who have a decent threat up front. If u get anything out of this then u have done very well. Good luck

AFC Royal Oak 6 - 0 Little Bowden : Royal Oak sound like they are back to full capacity so i think they will be comfortable winners

Dulka Hillside 1 - 2 Sporting Birstall - Dont really know much about each team but on the form book i think Birstall with just scrape it.

Global athletic 2 - 3 White Eagles - Depends which Global team turns up, think they are capable of beating anyone on the day. However i think White eagles will be back to winning ways this week.

Red Admiral ? - ? Inter Mivan - To say our squad is depleted this week is an understatement. Will be happy with anything this week.

LKS 1 - 4 Royalist - Royalist seem to have really kicked in to gear since we beat them on the first day. Got some real quality and think they will surprise LKS. Rob up from is a nighmare for defenders.

Considering we put 6 past you and Global have a better attack, you must be crapping yourselves for your fixture vs Global!

(No disrespect to Global at all! Have a lot of time for them, proper sportsman and looking forward to Sunday, Kris Mort never played last time so will be interesting to see how he gets on - we should have a couple of lads too who didn't play in the midweek game)

6 past our ten men though to be fair... if we had 11 for the entire game I think we would have been closer... we held you to 2-1 til the 60th minute and then fell apart through complete lack of fitness.

I am only saying we played global the other week and they seem like they are very clinical when it comes to taking chances and your boys did spurn a fair few Smile

Our match was an odd one. Perhaps it may have been closer but it shouldn't have even been 2-1 if I was awake! Awful keeping on my part, worst I've ever played. Could have been a lot more than 6 in the end. What's Kris Mort like for Global?

Game is played for 90 minutes and not 60 minutes so that doesn't wash. Sort your training to boost your fitness. You have a dodge lino who restricts the number of goals put past you. Hope he plays fair on Sunday against the mighty oak.

Bad news for us is that Kris is out for about 4 weeks due to possible cracked ribs. We are far from a 1 man team, but Kris does guarantee us goals and averages nearly 1.5 goals per game.

Dissapointed with our points total so far as our 2 defeats have been to late goals and we lost a 3 goal lead to Mivan.

I've played Alliance league football for nearly 20 years now and this is shaping up to be one of the most competetive seasons ever!

Not quite as many as urselves Smile also scored a fair few. I am quite disappointed with our goals conceded as only conceded 19 last season. 13 already. I feel that's down to not having a settled back line plus keeper. Shud start to settle now everyone's back. Looking forward to Sunday's game! If our two games last season anything to go by shud be a good match. Good luck Bowden

Don't quite know where the whole "Little Bowden have a dodgy lino" has come from. As far as I can tell I have seen many many more worse than ours but I'm not going to name teams because thats just boring and will only get me abuse! Sleep . In actual fact ours is too honest sometimes - numerous times last season he probably should have raised a flag for one reason or another and didnt... but anyways... this isnt the thread for this sort of discussion is it Razz

Honest, Haha. Shall I setup a thread titled "Bowdens dodgy lino" can we have that discussion if this is not the thread" Very Happy

Backing us to bag our first win of the season - will be a tough match but we have a host of players returning from absence and hopefully that freshness will see us home with 3 points.

Good prediction Ramley!! Up the Oak!! lol! lol! Laughing

I guess I am one of the targets as a critic but I did say time will tell and based my judgement on one win one loss and one draw. Credit to you on a cracking result and same to eagles who beat a very good global side. The best result and biggest credit goes to red admiral who beat mivan and bring the oak back into contention. Very Happy

Well done Lks and Admiral, great results against good sides.
