| Sunday service is resumed. As before we will run a thread for results and a separate thread for banter. This one is for banter only. Let's try and be constructive and informative rather than merely being highly critical of referees and Club assistant referees

We (Bowden) went one nil up inside five minutes, then a minute later one of our lads was sent off for handling on the line, can't complain. We took the lead with a 25 yard beauty and saw out the half. It was always going to be tough second half and Eagles pulled level through the dodgiest pen I have ever seen. Player should be ashamed of himself as it was a blatant dive. Can't blame the ref as ifrom his angle it looked a foul but there was no contact. From there we never recovered. Two more goals quickly followed, no complaints again there. We felt massively aggrieved with the fifth as the ball had gone out for a goal kick by a yard or so but ref played on and Eagles profited. Scoreline harsh for me, but then playing 85 minutes with ten will do that to you. I think we would have won the game with 11.

Good start for us today. MJR will struggle. It they seem to have the enthusiasm to make it work. I expect they'll steadily improve.
Goals for the forwards and a clean sheet set us up nicely for our game agains Pochin next week which looks like it'll be a cracker.

Great game for the neutral. We were 3-0 up at half time and scored some excellent goals, particularly the third. In the end though we were hanging on as Mivan put us under tremendous pressure.
Even though we chucked the lead away I will happily take the point against a good team

We ur awful today, went 1-0 up through a lucky goal and jus never got going. Carnabys equalised 2nd half wiv another scrapy goal and then neither team could get a foot hold in the game. If carnabys frontmen were onside a bit more they would of sneaked it but overall think a draw was the right result.

| First up big thanks to FCCOL and James for getting the game on.
Went 1-0 down quite early, and missed a couple of chances to go level before half time. Eventually got deservedly level 2nd half. Felt we created a bit more than them and should have won it, but had a bit of a wobble with a couple of mins to go.
Will settle for the point against them given the hype they've had on here pre season. Great to have the season underway though. Best of luck to FCCOL though, was a good competitive game

Rough start to the game, harsh sending off for our lad,he did kick out but then got smacked several times by rival without reply and both sent off, cant moan too much about that though. Both down to 10 after 10 mins, fairly close game,Athletic aint unbeatable by any means and with 11 on the pitch result could have been different.Mainly a good group of lads to be fair.Good luck to them though, sure theyre pleased with the 3 points and we look forward to the next battle with them.Great free kick by Hayden Hawes for the admiral by the way.Good old Div 6 football.

Notorious slow starters, we are now being dubbed the new Everton. Very slow out the blocks and were 2-0 down. Couple lads finally turned up mid way first half but damage had already been done. Managed to get a goal back before half time after a tactical rejig saw Tom Scott lob the keeper. Throughout both halves we kept creating chances and possibly had as many as Wednesday, just not putting the chances away. 2nd half we remained on top but some sloppy defending saw us go 4-2 down. Shaun Doyle then danced his way through the defence and fired home. Doyle also hit the bar and post within five mins with two cracking efforts. Just wasn't our day. Royalist played alright and very strong and can play a bit too. Lad up top caused us problems all day. His goal (their second) was great goal, then their 3rd was a cracker.
Thanks to the ref who managed to control a feisty affair, much better performance from the man in the middle after Wednesday's game.
Good luck to royalist, think they'll do alright this year

Good to get out the blocks with a win but we know we're a lot better than we were today! Was 3 - 1 at half time but then seemed to take the foot off the gas! Was a bit disappointing to see one of there players get sent off after the final whistle for mouthing at the ref! Thought majority of the trinderbox lads were pretty sound just the one lad had too much slobber and will now pay the price! Clive Bruce didn't give us too much but thought he done a good job reffing today, don't think we've ever had a bad game out of him! Roll on fri, hope we can get better

Must say enderby had a man sent off and it was never a red card!!!

Decent performance from the lads, can and will play a lot better. Needed to be more ruthless infront of goal and stopped playing really after the 5th went in. Should of won by more, but first game with a new team and a comfortable win so can't argue with that. Off and running.

Started the game really well and got 2 early goals, a few sloppy passes throughout the game which didnt help due to the pitch not being cut.
We went off the boil a bit just before half time but managed to snatch another through myself, We had plenty of chances to kill the game but wigston battled until the end but a well earned win and would like to wish wigston all the best, good bunch of lads

After having 18 players available for Friday's game we were down to just the 12 today so the manager had to make a few changes.
The council still hadnt cut the grass so again conditions were not ideal but our finishing in front of goal today was quality - the 2 forwards grabbed 8 between them, 5 for Azza and 3 for Shaun.
Good start to the season and we move on, high scoring LDA next week.
Good bunch of lads at Niffy, good luck for the rest of the season

| Leicester Foxes 3 - 3 Fosse City
Very decent start to the season for us, although in truth we were unlucky not to win the game. Has to be said that it's a great time to face us at the minute with our main man, Bayliss absent for a few weeks.
Fairly tight first half which we dominated territorily only to go behind to a screamer from 30 odd yards. Nath Williams replied almost instantly from the penalty spot after Luke Goddard was brought down in the box.
We had a slow first 10 minutes in the 2nd half where Foxes got on top. They scored a penalty awarded for handball which had most of their players laughing, apparently a bad decision.
Fosse then rallied and turned the game on it's head, a goal from myself and another from Nath Williams put us 3-2 up with about 20 minutes to go. That lead was held going into the last 3 or 4 minutes when from out of nothing Ben Trinder hit a volley from about 35 yards straight into the top corner.
After that Foxes pushed for a winner but we held on for a draw. Definately think we edged the game, but 2 cracking goals and a dubious penalty pegged us back. It's a point more than most expected us to get from Foxes this season.

Very tight game as the result suggests but I think we edged it. We had numerous opportunities but the quality in the final third lacked a bit to get a telling effort on goal and test Andy although as per usual anything we put on target he dealt with really well.
We limited Prem to only a handful of opportunities which is pleasing going forward with only a Mark Graham shot which was well saved there only telling effort.
For me personally its been a good start with a new club, all the lads have been superb and the banter is top notch.
Hopefully get 3pts on the board next game to really kick of our title tilt

Thought we played quite well in patches today, in all honesty it could have been double figures if we had our shooting boots on, it was 2-1 until the last 10. Think we hit the bar 3 times and the huncote keeper made some top saves. Referee was very good, hardly noticed him.
We are quite happy with the start we made today. All the best to Huncote for the rest of the season, good set of lads.

GOALS: Williamson, Cheadle x2, McCafferty, Karsandas
Pod battle today from both sides. I am personally unhappy at the nature of all three goals we conceded as I felt they were all rather soft but at the other end we were far from clinical and should have bagged a few more. That said, I think Countesthorpe have the makings of a nice little side and they try and play in the right way and get the ball down.
Was delighted how we came from behind twice however and we have learnt a few things today most certainly.
Thanks to Countesthorpe.

| Just like to say everyones fav in Div 7 to be bottom had a great win today. Wigston Fields beat Frair lane 4-0 and realistically could have had a few more. Pitch needed cutting, ref was OK, game was marred by a sending off (rash lash out by FL centre half) which was not really in the context of the game. | |
