| They should just let each pitch call it on Sunday morning instead of calling them off early incase they are still bad! | |

| remember my theory that its not because the pitch is unplayable, but because of the work that has to go into repairing it after the game, and also in their favour they cant get on and mark pitches with snow on them | |

| The fact the snow is melting doesn't really matter, the pitches were still pretty clogged up last week so all of this melting snow/rain will just make them boggier. Doesn't look good... | |

| Linwood playing fields have been worked on by Bob and his team this week and are not being used Saturday so if there are any Beaumont Town 2009 lads reading this, it will only take a bad freeze Saturday night/Sunday morning for our game to be off.
Our sec should be arranging a pitch inspection Sunday morning to see what its like.

| Think it was a bad call by oadby wig council far to early to call them off! The snow is clear! And so what if they are a little boggy! Let's get a little realistic its sunday league! The pitches are gonna be ruined after the first week of april anyway! Let's just get on with it and call the games off on the day if they are really that bad! | |

The council dont do anything to repair the pitches when used regardless of the weather, its only people like Bob Stretton who works on pitches during the week to help get them fit for the following weeks games. The council does naff all for Sunday football that I know of and then stick their noses in to call the games off when if left till the Sunday morning for the referee to decide their would probably have been more games played than what there has been so far..! Rant over,...

| i agree with duane but its still the fact of repair the reason they dont do anything is because they call games off early then come out and mow and mark, and hopefully no more | |

| Went up horsewell lane at lunchtime and yes a few puddles were about lines were visible and really it should be left up to the refs. I believe our pitch is not being played on tomorrow and for the time of year its in good nick. So we could have move poss if necessary. If theres a massive frost then the decision is left in where i believe it should be in the refs hands not a councellor at 10am day before trying to save on parkis double time. | |

| i think the council are a disgrace, 1 of my players has been up horsewell lane earlier tonite and said the pitch woz fine and defo playable, the council are just creating un-necessary fixture backlog, god help the league come end of season caus teams who have satday players are prob gunna struggle to field a team | |

| We have 3 inches of frozen snow and minus 4 at present, we have truly copped it this year. The league really needs to get its thinking cap on if it wants to be done and dusted by the end of April, Many teams through all divisions are behind, the fixture secretary will get a beer from me at the AGM. In all seriousness, this could put us right in the pooh with regards to player and pitch availability etc. Never mind wanting to win anything. Because of the crappy weather, there are so many sides in our division that we have not played yet. Is there no scope for us to play them once for six points this season. As a club, we would be willing to play them all away if needed and half the costs with our opponents. I know it's crap but I am truly worried about being able to field a team for '8' evening games. | |

| Nope maninblack,..correct piemaster, if the snow hadnt arrived we were planning on playing today following a pitch inspection with the referee. We've done it before at Linwood this season, and next season it wont be owned by council | |

| Haha,...you've got to be right havent you Clive,..we pay council fee's same as most teams, doesnt change what I put above, we would have played today if the pitch was fit despite what the council said on Friday, we did it against Tumar, accept it Clive. | |

| Thats the council for you, if they had kept their nose out in previous weeks some more games would have been played, probably not many but I dont think they should be involved in making the call, especially on a Thursday/Friday leave it to a pitch inspection for the refereee thats part of his role. | |
