Cup draws

The draw for the Group Stage of the Arthur Moore Cup will be made at the Handbook Meeting on 14th August and the draw for the Foster and Stokes Cups will be included in the Fixture Booklet to be distributed at that meeting.

Dennis, can you confirm which divisions will be involved in which cups please (including the County Cups if you have that information)

Cant wait...although, if the draw is done in public, how will the league committee be able to cheat and keep Advance and S&G apart!! The draw should remain in the dungeon!!

Cant wait for this draw, hope to get a group with Advance Couriers

Moore is for premiership and Div 1, Foster is for Divs 2, 3 and 4, Stokes is for Divs 5, 6 and 7.

No news on County Comps - not yet decided.

I heard there was goining to be a 5,6,7 cup.. is this true?

Seem alittle unfair with the sections ? surely a much fairer line up would be

how come that would be fairer mate? guessing you play Div 4 or 6? same issues of two Div gap, plus, prem to Div two is apparently very big

Just a shame for the standards, may be adding another cup would help. As the standard between the prem and div 1 could be close same for div 2 and 3.... and 4 +5 .... and 6 +7

Have to agree on that, a new team coming in to division 7 could get a div 5 top team and get hammered but i think an additional cup rather than two cups with three teams and one cup with two teams would be fairer and better plus it gives another side a chance of playing at Holmes Park

They could move over to the Leicester Sunday Football League, thats if they are not entirely satisfied with the Sunday Alliance League, i think they do have more cup competitions than the latter.

The problem with an extra cup would be cost, another trophy, winners and runners up medals, cost of hosting a semi and another final. Not to meantion the pitch availablity at holmes park (that we experienced when trying to rearrange the billy Walton last year). Or all the issues James was presentes with from teams playing in semis

Nothing wrong with the format now although it was tweaked to accommodate the extra division last year

whatever the format of the cups are fine, it s after all supposed to be hard to make it to a cup final, that's what makes the experience special!!

I understand that some County Competitions, but not those involving Alliance teams, require a Preliminary Round. It may well be after those matches have been played.
