St Marks v The Gate Hangs Well

I am sure many of you will have noted the significance of the St Marks v The Gate Hangs Well D5 fixture on Sunday 13 May.

A win or a draw for St Marks will see them crowned Champions, and Kajima secure the Runners Up position.

A win for The Gate Hangs Well will see them crowned Champions and St Marks take the Runners Up position.

In the previous League meeting, The Gate Hangs Well edged home 2-1. However in the Stokes Cup Final between the same teams, St Marks lifted the trophy in a 2-0 win.

So - Leicester Irish Centre on Gipsy Lane for a 10.30am kick off.

Hope to see a good crowd to support an enthralling conclusion to the D5 season

Div 5 best division of the season, closely followed by div 3

tells you all you need toknow about them when they want ghw to win league which meant they would have finished third best team always wins the league fact now thats that the end of drama, better things to do like toast our league and cup double. and looking forward to next season already.

Well done st marks, great achievement for a young side. Still gutted about our 1st half performance, the worst 45 min iv seen us play. Got it together 2nd half but a inspired performance from st marks keeper made sure they won the league. I missed him from my opposition players that have stood out this season, regretably u have now been added. Coley and the blond lad in midfield had very good games also. Well done again lads maybe see u next season. P.s Cattell and Durrance are going knowhere!

as a final note not sure who it was that tipped us to finish bottom but you certainly got it wrong. Yes we wanted GHW to win at the expense of runners up because we felt over the season they were the better team and had they not had a poor start they would have won it comfortably. Second best is no achievement you should always strive to be the best or not bother at all. no singing or dancing true but also true the snubbing of congratulations by the goalie, you have a bit to learn kid.

So you dont play the game for enjoyment then, its all about the winning or losing, sounds like you're in the wrong sport.

OK, well in a couple of weeks Ill be playing in the Umbro Vets final (national competition) Ill go in the changing room and tell all those testosterone ridden players to just go out and enjoy it and dont worry about being national champions its all about taking part lads!!!! laughed out of the dressing room hell boy.

Its only the viagra that keeps you upright, you havent got any testosterone at your age, you must struggle to get out the bath now.
