The tightest finish in the Alliance Premiership

The Premier is now in its 32nd season. Based on the difference in points between Champions and 4th, the tightest finish was in 1979-1980 when the charts were:

The second place was decided after two play offs which finished 2-2 and 3-2!

There was also a play off for the championship in 1992-1993 when Wigston Town CC beat Braunstone West End by 2-1

In 1993-1994,Oadby Academicals and Wigston Town CC finished equal on points but the Acs became Champions on goal difference.

Last season was the 15th tightest out of 31 seasons
