Banter for games played Friday, 3rd September

Very pleased that after late fitness tests and some amended working hours we will have our defender, Dave Ilnicki and Chris Cooper back tonight....unfortunately lost one of our subs who is a very good left sided player, but pulled in another player to the match day squad....lets get it on Niffy!!!!

Defended poor first half but won ok in the end.
Fair play to polska big side hard to mark just happy with 3 points

Won 4-3 against a strong Niffy side. To be honest they probably deserved a point out of the game and their lad with the big throw will cause all kinds of problems this year. We were massively up for this game and everyone was buzzing about it beforehand. Well chuffed with the attitude of the lads in the second half. The match was very scrappy as you would expect with both teams knowing the importance of a good start. Our goals scored by Steve Coleman (two headers), Dave Ilnicki - 90 yard screamer after the keeper had left their goal (by tomorrow will be 100 yards!) and Ian Chicko Hickling nailing a 25 yard howitzer!! Fair play to the Niffy lads, good game, all the best for the season.
Would like to know who it was on the sidelines that said something along the lines of 'if these are the teams that are going to run away with the division i am not worried'.....that will bite you on the ass....
Hopefully this result will also put to rest all the rumours of pothunting....4-3....sounds a good match to me

and same here wer rumors we are pot hunters never 3-2 with foxes the team nobody has talked about and the team that will beat most teams in div 3

Cheers Hoskins, good win for you guys then....first game always tough. Not sure we can carry on winning though, cost a fortune in drinks last night...and the Vindaloo is still causing havoc!

phoenix losing 4-1 to superfly.

went 1-0 nil up looked ok for first 20 mins or so but then awfull! if we play like that much more well be fighting to stay up.... need a massive improvement for sundays game.

Good side Webbys. We didn't give up, was 3-3 half time, but they scored from a penalty 2 mins into 2nd half and that killed us off. Didn't play as well as we can and lacked experience in places (it showed) but good to see Mark Inglis back on the scoresheet. Got to cut out the silly Christmas present goals though

It was bad luck for your keeper when he gifted us our first, Inglis had said what a good keeper he was as well with a couple of good performances pre season.

he was quality pre season, but we all have off days
