Division 5

My opinions on my division which is Division 5:

Aberdale Galacticos - New team, don't know anything about these

Dukla St Andrews - 2 Great games last season against these, 4-4 away and 4-3 loss at home, great bunch of lads, and like us had a up and down season, finished same points as us with better goal difference

Friar Lane - Know a couple of the lads, good goalie in Gaz, but think they could struggle in the division

Global Athletic - Beat 3-0 last season with ease could have been so much more at their ground but next time we played 2-2 at home great game, but had complete different team, they could do well depending on what team they can get out on a sunday

Inter Mivan - 2-2 first game at home, good bunch of lads, 2-0 down away second game we came back to win 4-2 near end of season, not much to play for, could contend top 3

Pukka Pies - This is my team. Lost a few players including both goalies and our top scorer (to retirement), few new lads coming in to strengthen squad, I reckon we could challenge for top 4, 6th last season on goal difference!

Suecastle - Played in cup beat them 3-2 and we had 10 men most of the game, could struggle in the division unless they make a few changes to the squad

Swinford Chequers - ??? anyone know anything?

Trinderbox - Only team in the division that was in division 5 last night finished 10th, in a league easily won by Pochin, don't know anything else about these could be contenders?

Vale - Started amazingly in Div 7 then seemed to drop form and points allowing Monsell to end up taking the league, don't know anything about these but mid table possibly?

Wigston Fields 2012 - Finished strongly to take 3rd place in Div 7, don't know too much about these again though, mid table?

Wigston Plough Rovers - Not sure why these are in our league as they finished 2nd from bottom in our division 6 last season, they need a few better and younger players if they are to compete, although great bunch of lads and have one player who looks like he's trying to carry the team

Anyone else got opinions?

Aberdale galacticos - think most played for Lutterworth on a Saturday and I've been told are a good side.

Friar lane - think they've strengthen and if they have reckon they'll be up there. Best team we played last season by far

Suecastle - good team when they play, reckon they'll hold there own. Young as well so fast and energetic

Vale - as you said started well but lost players to mivan and tailed off a bit. If they get a strong team out each week will do well.

Trinderbox - again depends who they get out, if they get there strongest team they are good but if they don't then they might struggle.

Wigston Fields (us) still waiting on a few players to commit but optimistic if we can get them signed and everyone there each week could do fairly well, obviously won't know until the seasons starts but will have to see

Agreed the league have made some odd choices, but we have to deal with it and with 9 new signings we'll give it a dam good go.

Good bunch of lads in your team WPR, we had 2 good games, one draw one win for us, more of the same next season

Hi guy's we are new to the league (Meridian Athletic) going into Div 6. We are looking for a pre season friendly against any div 5/6/7 team on the 17th August if any interest. if you can contact me it would be greatly appreciated.
